Battle of the Enraged: The Marine vs The Vengeful (8-B Tournament)

I believe that is heavily implied, though I'm unsure if it was ever like "yes absolutely this is what happened".

Been a long time since I watched that show.

Doomguy can also spend all day trying to get through Meta's shield but he wont be able to

Im kinda seeing this lean towards Maine due to Doomguy's 8-B form only being temporary and once it wears off Maine can onshot him pretty easily

Uh. No. Even when Maine didn't have it and it was being run alone (no other abilities eating up power), Maine was tearing through it pretty easily. More attacks means more drain on power. I believe this was in South Dakota's encounter, but Maine broke through it with his 8-B weapons. Doomguy would be able to do the same.

Doomslayer is permanently 8-B what are you talking about? Also, the OP didn't specify if this was Classic Doomguy or Doomslayer.

Because the shield survived a 7-B attack mostly by tanking it once (as in it impacted and left those beneath it alive and near-death). The 7-B attack literally destroyed the shield and nearly the ship the user was on.

The only reason it probably saved them at all is it was a physical deterrent that had to be destroyed.

I think it's the Shield itself can protect from 7-B nukes, but continuous bombardment is what causes it to deplete; and that it only temporary.

Also I'll add Weekly as the proponent for Maine.

I think it's something like the shield is 7B but whenever it gets hit it has stupidly high power drain, so it's a risky move in terms of stamina.

Edited it, my apologies.

This is Doomslayer.

Doomguy: 6 (DarkDragonMedeus, Calaca Vs, Paulo.junior.969, Ricsi-viragosi, Dargoo Faust, Weekly)

The Meta: 1 (Blahblah9755)

Okay. Then I believe this can be added, with 7 votes in favor of Doomslayer.

Would it help if we, say, restrict Berserk?

If we don't think it is a stomp then I'll allow it. Next thread will be up soon.

Maine has a higher tier shield. Makes sense to me.

Meta's basically fighting someone of a higher tier. His only option is to run away until Berserk wears off, but he'd never do that, especially not bloodlusted. So sorta stompy.

He could just put up the shield and keep dodging until it runs out.

Plus, you know, bloodlust makes you do what you think is the most likely thing to make you win

Meta has a viable way to win, just less likely than Doomguy.

Making next thread.

Bloodlust means just acting more aggressively, no?

I was under the impression that bloodlusted = completely OOC and willing to use their strongest/most dangerous abilities right off the bat, regardless of what they would normally do in a fight.

I mean, yes, but at most the name should be changed.

Bloodlust exists so that a character can fight witout their PIS holding them down, as the page itself notes:

It should be noted that there are differences between natural bloodlust (the kind that exists within fictional continuities) and induced bloodlust (the kind used in a vs. thread). Induced bloodlust means the character is free from Plot Induced Stupidity, whereas naturally bloodlusted characters are still vulnerable to this, and are often hampered by it even more than level-headed characters. For example, they may simply attack recklessly, without planning or thinking, or using their powers creatively.

@Ricsi Induced Bloodlust should be changed to something like Victorylust like Dark brought up, as the way that induced bloodlust is described isnt actually bloodlust at all

Bloodlusted means the character will act as violent/aggressive as possible, victorylusted means they'll lead with their best hax always.

@Dark

People don't actually treat bloodlusted like that in vs battles though...whether it's here or even other sites.

Using it that way, bloodlusted would be a lot more of a nerf than it's used in battles.

Actually, a lot of people do, cause that's what it means, and what the name implies, and how people misunderstand it.

@Yung Bloodlust should be a nerf in battles as bloodlust and victorylust are two very different things
