Absolute zero for Invel ?

In chapter 479 , Invel been declared to be capable of using ice even colder than absolute zero , anyone have thoughts on this?

Pure hyperbole most likely. Fairy Tail manga chapter cover pages and ending pages are known to use a lot of flowery hyperbolic language written by the editors i.e. not the author.

And from what I recall, Absolute Zero was merely Silver's epithet when he was a member of the Demon Gates. Considering Gray inherited his legacy, that might be the context of the statement.

Unless there is a statement within the canon itself by a character or "narration" confirming Invel and Gray's ice to be Absolute Zero, we should consider this is pure flowery hyperbole.

that page is not when Gray uses silvers power in fact with devil slayer Gray becomes immune to ice magic completly.

Resistance is not the same as immunity. If Gray with devil slayer magic was immune to ice magic completely, Invel's ice armour thing would not have begin to affect his arm. The same goes for other slayers. They have high resistance to their respective element - not full immunity.

Like other Slayers, Gray is able to consume external sources of ice in order to replenish his strength and enhance his power while at the same time granting immunity to it.

again he is immune when he uses devil slaying magic that is activates the mark in that attack he didn't [[1]]

plus Natsu wasn't effect by August huge lava attack so yeah he is immune

nah it worked on Gray when he doesn't activate the devil slayer magic being the devil slaying magic unstable Gray only use that when truly necessary and only from time to time like for last attack or similar in fact aginst invel at the begginig he was freezing but when he used the mark he was damaging him with no problems and after he and Juvia tried to kill each other and well second part of the battle gray used Invel's own magic against him by molding it since he is maker magic user combining it for final attack with devil slaying power.

He stated that before even seeing devil slaying magic plus it's just braging nothing else like Ajeel saying to Erza to call him god or God Serena saying how he is going to slay all dragons and we know what happend after that. I'm almost sorry for the dude, anyway that has nothing to do with absolute zero it;s just that spriggans like to brag while they get their ass kicked.

Pretty sure that was just due to Invel having vastly greater power than base Gray.

Even if he could who cares the "absolute zero" temp. is -273.15 celsius but considering he can't shatter ice devil slaying magic means he is not there like think about it even Natsu melted his ice.

yeah but that's not absolute zero anyway plus does it matter it doesn't change his strength. Not to mention this thread was about him surpassing the absolute zero.

And refreezing something means making it even colder and he shatters it with his magic it's not ice that shatters it self.
