  • Hello, could you please take a look at the following calc and give your opinion?

    It's an intense debate what type of explosion we're looking at, so even if you only feel comfortable checking the math it would still be greatly appreciated
    Hey, I've noticed that you're somewhat into KH
    Can you be considered a supporter to add to the verse page? As we've been lacking in staff members into it (Cal and Dragon no longer care, Mr. Bambu hates it with passion, Ant is Ant and SeraEX is always busy), so having you around to monitor certain CRTs over the series would be neat.
    I can also help you get into the series deeper if you want, certain games should be played into a particular order to grasp the plot better, after all.

    I only played KH1 and the first story mode of Chain of Memories
    So I still have a long way to go before really being a supporter that could help with anything

    However, just being into a series and playing at least one entry is usually enought to apply as a verse supporter, but that's up to you.
    BTW, after KHCoM, go to KH358/2 Days, then KHII, then KHBbS, then KHRe:Coded (This one is optional, as its plot is quite self contained unlike other games beyond it being a continuation to a certain plot point regarding Naminé in CoM, there's also the movie version here if you prefer to watch the plot in a more abbreviated way), then KH3D, then KH2.8 (This one is also optional, but it clarifies a bit what goes between KHBbS and KHI, timeless to time stuff also makes it be related to KHIII), then KHx and KHUX (These two are gacha games for smartphones, so I would just skip over the gameplay to the cutscenes I've linked, they also keep getting new stuff once per month currently), then KHIII and KHIIIRe:Mind (The latter is a DLC expansion to the late-game plot), then KHDR (This one is also a gacha game, so I would recommend only checking the cutscenes), then KHMoM (This one is optional as most of the plot is just a summarized retelling from Kairi, except for the actual but small plot additions that go after that (First a visual showing of certain reports showcased in KHIFM, then stuff after KHIIIRe:Mind), it also is a rhythm game, so I'd recommend just going over the cutscenes unless you're into those)
    That sure sounded like a lot, but the series is that large, and if you want all the details, there's also the japanese guides (Ultimanias), in-game reports and interviews, oh, and the manuals for KHI, KHCoM and KHII but those are more for the ones that want to dig up details.

    About the Low 2-C scaling I warned everyone that one day that would happen with these Tier 2 updates. The comic is inconsistent and arguments can be made for both sides

    At that point the result ends up tending to the lower tiers in relation to the higher ones, so I can't do anything about that.

    Hello Executor, i would like your help, i'm trying to calc this feat, which involve a character survive an explosion which happen in underwater.

    I have came to know that explosions that happen underwater act differently than the ones in ground or air, as it is stated in this thread.

    So how exactly i should calc this feat, as it clear that the method i'm using is incorrect, and another thing, should i also consider the vaporized water in the calculation?

    As far as I know, we don't use vaporization in underwater calcs, unless we have a really good reason for that.

    But I also think that we never agreed on what to accept as the "standard" values for the calculations. this is the next thread and it was never finished as far as I know.

    The calc that seems to be accepted were

    Joules = ((Radius in Meters^3) x (Pascals at specific depth + 101,325) / (3/4pi or just 0.23873241463)) x 2.5

    This comes from

    Radius = (3/4pi)^(1/3) x ((40% x explosion energy) / (ocean depth pressure + 1 standard atmosphere pressure))^(1/3)

    So by knowing how far the bomb were in the ocean you could find a answer, and this is the problem of the thread, deciding what should be that radius. For the calculation that you did, you could use the initial velocity as the terminal velocity, but you don't really know when the explosion happened. The 1.7 seconds corresponds to the time that the bomb was going deeper in the ocean plut the time for the explosion to expand, so you don't have how to know how much time was the water going underwater and how much time was for the explosion to expand, so we can't really know the value for that.

    You could make a bit of research for bombs (Maybe these bombs were based on real bombs, so you could use that as a reference) to know how deep does these bombs would be when they explode.

    Well it could potentially be the case here, the explosion didn't just make some white water but it actually turn everything intro flame, which can only be possible if all the water had be vaporized.

    You could make a bit of research for bombs (Maybe these bombs were based on real bombs, so you could use that as a reference) to know how deep does these bombs would be when they explode.

    That see really specific, i'm not even sure if there had be any study of this matter, this kind of bombs are supposed to explode then they hit the ground, not when they hit water, i could try but i don't have any hope.


    Another thing, about the Inverse Square Law, would still be applicable in this scenario, even when it happen underwater?
