That's exactly what they're telling you. Eren can't change the future, but you choose to believe that the only time in the manga where he does affect time and it doesn't change anything is that it's meant to be that way.

I dont think you know what a fixed point in time is. A fixed point in time is a singular point that cannot be changed, while the events around it can. Eren can have the ability to manipulate causality while also being unable to affect a fixed point in time as a fixed point is inherently immune to causality manipulation.

Also the manga is secondary canon, the anime is the primary canon for AoT, and it has numerous instances of him manipulating causality

In fact, can I explain my philosophy around verse scaling in regards to good continuity and coherent storytelling? (My main point of which is probably going to make @JoshSSJGod, @CloverDragon03 and @DarkDragonMedeus jump down my throat):

If your storytelling suffers because of your attempt to give your characters higher tier scaling / more hax, you basically don't deserve that power in a VS context, because it's more or less an admission that you cannot explain how that power is applied consistently enough.

I've already been in discussions with the above names around if Xenosaga power structures should be shoehorned into Xenoblade's continuity and story (something they seem to accept without question, which I find particularly disturbing given Takahashi's inconsistent overall track record) without a reboot to XS as a trilogy (incorrigible use of Testaments powersets, plotholes with Zarathustra and the Zohar, lobotomised character motivations... I could go on). I shouldn't need to explain much here.

Honestly, I don't quite understand your position. Are you for or against Eren being able to influence the past and future?

I watched the anime, and all of Eren's interventions in the past triggered events that had already happened. So even his interventions in time were predetermined, and he can't influence the outcome.

I remember at the time that people were mostly just wanting an indie success story to carry on the legacy of a great animator (not writer) who died way too young. Potential and scrappiness and such. It doesn't seem that many later hopped on the train after it soon became clear that it was going to spin its wheels so much, but I'm guessing for them it was just general lesser-shonen standards and curiosity. And what Weekly said.


Can't blame him, copyright bots are rough and kill channels long after initially ok-ing the videos before getting you all at once. Even images of art (as in part of some franchise IP but even also vintage classical paintings and beyond) will sometimes get copyright-nuked, something for even uncopyrighted-music uploaders to be wary of. I might have tried contacting musicians for scoring first, but that's likely to be very expensive -- seriously, even commissioning individual short songs can burn an amateur creator's wallet -- and perhaps even more difficult to integrate into the whole to a beat-by-beat basis with as much specificity as he did.
