DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Lets be real. LuzAnne missed the boat. Its absolutely just as late as Steven vs Star. It will do just as well as that one. Aka mediocre.
Shame really but it's true, heck I'm pretty sure SVTFOE got deleted here and an Owl House CRT has been ongoing for nearly two years.

You joke but some will actually believe this logic is true, similar to assuming you hate pancakes just for enjoying waffles.

He scales GiH deep into 1-A, he has been in depths your mind can't even imagine.
I cant believe I was tricked. Unironically using 1-As. The exact worst breed who hates Kratos despite him winning being as logical as all Tier 1 shenanigans he uses for Goji in general.

Im removing my thumbs up smh.

playarounds in in Gru vs Megamind, instead they only used their strongest stuff and never even brought out a mech.
I was hoping some clever strategies and fun interactions would appear in Ash vs Yugi but they used a single reversal of attack as the trap card...on a move that is a homing attack that could just be redirected again...
Yeah, Bowsegg felt like an actual army battle with both sides interacting and countering eachother. These 2 do feel more like turn based battles where they mostly measure who has the biggest gun while a minion foght goes around in the background.
Granted, it's a 6.5/10 for me.

Geeeeeez Im still thinking and tbh AangEdward is better than GruMegamind. This is MarioSonic2 levels of disappointment. Is this actually worst modern, Ep 100+, episode in DB??

The more episodes that come out the more I regret donating to the last KS. And the pitch wasn’t worth it at all on top of that.
Seriously, I don't even want my MU to happen. The odds of it getting ****** completely in production is very high right now if it were to be made. It would require actual writing talent for visual storytelling and nonverbal communication and the animation would be a big undertaking.

The worst part is they really liked my pitch. So I may have increased the odds of it happening.

Denji also can't dodge Dismantle and Cleave, which both have insane range, can used as a psudeo infinity, and is incredibly fast and efficient, because they're invisible slashes.
Not really. He can sense them and also instinctively dodge them. Range is just the crazy distance it can cover, which is neat but nothing Denji hasn't faced before. Pseudo-Infinity is incredibly meh here, especially against an opponent as/even more powerful than him. That usually only worked when Yuji or Sukuna were facing opponents who were reasonably weaker than their C.T. Here Denji has enough strength to pummel through that "barrier" especially considering it would be hard to catch him like that if he has a possible speed advantage. Nuisances sure, but nothing that Denji cannot handle especially with his battle intelligence and trickery.

There is a good chance that Denji fools Yuji to victory, especially considering Denji's kit and that Yuji would have to keep his distance in order not to get sawed down up front. There's a lot to speculate on and anticipate. We're not even sure how they plan to do this matchup. But in the end at least to me it's pretty exciting to think about how they will pan this out from their point of view.

Dismantle and Cleave aren’t just fast “projectiles” you sidestep, they’re invisible cursed-energy slashes that strike without a visible tell and can hit from multiple directions at once, with characters in the manga consistently reacting to the damage after it lands, not the attack itself; on top of that, Cleave adjusts to the target’s toughness, so brute durability or regeneration doesn’t reliably save you, it just means you get cut appropriately. Denji has some good to great abilities, but he lacks cursed-energy perception and any mechanic for sensing or predicting invisible attacks, which is what JJK fighters rely on to even survive these techniques. And the “pseudo-infinity is meh” claim is off, because the barrier isn’t something you just power through, these slashes apply at the target rather than behaving like normal travel-based strikes, so having a speed edge doesn’t solve the core problem. Put simply: Denji isn’t consistently dodging what he can’t perceive, and he doesn’t have a built-in answer to an attack that scales to cut him anyway.
