DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Ok so what the hell is that Good vs Evil thing in Reddit. Its been happening for years now, right? Whats the story behind those MUs? Just because they are fun to think about?
I think they likely came from episodes like BillCord and Colex. They typically match up characters with vague connections.

Does anyone know what our standards are for novelizations? I'm going through The Ring series, and it has a massive backlog of untranslated material. One of the novelizations gives Sadako abilities she doesn't show in the movies, but it's because the book contains an alternate ending to the movie. Is stuff like this useable, because it's different than the movie, but it's also an official Ring adaptation?

I say this as the most conservative person in the room who thinks Cell vs Metal is mid as shit, how you feel about Synth and his take(s) is inversly proportional to how much you want to gatekeep the community from people seemingly like him. Because it's pretty obvious he's not familiar with how DBa operates.

I've seen his takes before. I agree with some of them, I don't entirely agree with others (I don't watch his content that often, but that's only because my feed is kinda all over the place atm). To that end, I'm kinda curious what he would want from an episode, or rather which episodes he'd want to see from the series. We don't think this inquiry would be more constructive/practical?

Also lmao @ his ending reaction trying to understand PIS in the Sonic Franchise

I'm sorta right leaning, (I was left ten years ago and my positions haven't changed overton window just had hands) , and every time I have to listen to synethicman i wanna claw my ears out.

CSM certainly had the ending of all time. Not feeling very positive about it atm.
It could've left a really bad taste in your mouth, but instead its kind of empty. Like, I'm not sure if anyone will be satisfied with this. Its the type of ending that author writes when their series get cancelled mid way through writing it. That's the vibe it gives off, at least.

It was said that Fujimoto was tired of drawing CSM and was having trouble meeting the deadlines, so i could see him just losing interest and ending it asap.
The fickleness of a Genius amiright?

leaning on bad ending atm ngl.

Damn chainsaw man fans have it rough. Bad ending, Reze getting feed to Bakugo, and Denji loses horribly to Wuji. Not great atm

You know it's pretty funny reading all this talk about the Michigan sword fest considering I myself am from Michigan. It's like the only thing this cold, frozen ass state is good for is being a useful test for power scaling on the ******* internet😭
