DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

I'm just waiting for nerogeats so the general public can be exposed to the stygian depths of madness that is scaling based on Extra CCC.

U got scans for that
Okay so imgur is broken rn it wont post links, so i'll just sum it up for now:
  • In Soul Eater, Maka never went through combat training or soul wavelength training until after enrolling at DWMA, she had never been in a fight up to that point and only met Soul a few weeks before she started.
  • As a result of this, she was years behind her teammates in terms of power, training, and experience, as both BlackStar and Death The Kid had been training since they were kids.
  • Due to this, the first thing Maka focused on was mastering her resonance with Soul, but neglected to actually work on becoming stronger or more skilled, leading to her teammates having to either bail her out constantly in combat against stronger opponents, or amp her with Chain Resonance so she would be on their level in terms of power.
  • In the Book of Eibon arc its a major plot point that Maka had not been actively training to get stronger or more skilled, just relying entirely on Soul in order to fight. Soul didnt even reach the rank of Death Scythe until 2/3rds of the way through the story, something that both Kid and BlackStars weapons achieved before the story even began. And even then, its brought up that all 'Death Scythe' is is a title, it doesnt actually imply an increased level of power. The entire Eibon Arc kickstarts Maka and Soul actually starting to train in combat for the first time.
  • tldr; Maka only actively started training to get stronger roughly 2/3rds of the way through the story, and relied entirely on Soul's weapon control and her teammates being stronger than her up until that point. The best feat she performs through her own power at any point in the story is cutting Gopher's cannon in half, which yielded Town level.
I mean she parried cronas stuff here

from my understanding that was with soul and not the cross scythe which isint hers

If its the part im thinking of, its hard contradicted in the same chapter with BlackStar needing to actively deflect them for Maka because she wasnt strong enough to do so herself and was not even fast enough to properly react to them, with her outright admitting that one hit from it would kill her.
I really want to read it i just never got to it
Please do! Its a very good story and i'll need all the help i can get fixing up the verse

Several yeah

Haven't checked in in awhile. Wow, Cell lost to a guy who's Infinitely stronger than him and hard counters his abilities.

I am so shocked by this outcome.

Seriously though, about that next time, two stomps in a row is unexpected. Kinda lame honestly, at least in my opinion. Makes the waiting period way less fun.

There's a part of me that's starting to wonder if Bakugo vs Reze is some cryptic April fools joke they have planted just before the episode is due to go live.

Only problem is April Fools is on a Wednesday, whereas the episode is on a Sunday.
I hope to GOD it is bruh, ts is so lame 💔

Eh, more like 4 in a row. Yugi stomped Ash, Ichigo stomped Yusuke, Metal stomped Cell, and now Bakugo is stomping Reze

Bad, terrible, booooooo

I mean outside of Star-Lord in one instance iirc what herald level stuff do they have

And low-key maybe they should fight Dandy's crew instead
Drax, Adam and Groot are Herald level, with Adam having some crazy hax, Gamora is spiderman level with massive skill and a weapon that cuts through virtually anything, and Rocket has Herald killing weaponry (this also doesn't include non-mcu guardians like Quasar or Phylla Vell or Nova who are all heralds also)
