It’s funny since I think we’ve only had Hal beat Ben once on this site when Alien X was downgraded down to 3-A and Hal was 2-C only from Pre-Crisis (which they used in the episode), and that only lasted ~ a month. For the rest of the wiki’s entire history that matchup has been seen as a stomp.

it's 100% going to be Jaden. With Ash vs Yugi being so popular, and Ben still being in the powerscaling zeitgeist, I can see it happening this year or the next.

Judai vs Ben is like the perfect matchup for both of them. Aesthetically you've got the red and green contrast, powers-wise they both revolve their kits around transforming aliens (Contact Fusion, Omnitrix), they both have a particular love for superheroes and finally the matchup is actually debatable in a Death Battle context, we don't know what meta they might run for Ben nowadays and Judai would scale directly to Yugi.
I think Ben would probably ultimately win, given he has way better arguments and his hax should be superior, particularly if they use similar logic for spell and trap cards as they did for Yugi.
The only issue I have with it is that I wish GX got some sort of sequel movie for the anime, so Judai could use the newer Neos cards. Forms like Cosmo Neos and Nebula Neos would go hard in the fight.

But ain't that just the problem with every last one of Asta's MUs? Either his opponent resists his Anti-Magic and he can't use his main gimmick, or his Anti-Magic does work and his opponent loses the majority of their kit. It seems unfair either way, so why not put Asta against someone who just matches him completely, down to their story and stats. We can have a "he's just like me" moment between both Asta and Mash, those are always cool.

Like it also sorta feels unfair to throw a low-end planetary Asta against universal Natsu. I know I myself enjoyed Ichigo vs Yusuke a whole lot despite a similar set of stats, but I can say that I don't want to have a repeat of that even then.
Meanwhile, you have Mash, who's in that same ballpark as Asta if not a bit stronger, with both having forms to match eacother in a fight progression. Compound that with the two of them having real similar life stories, it just feels better for Mash vs Asta to be a thing.

I would like a MU where one character doesn't have most of their kit nullified because of that Anti-Magic. At least with Asta he has other stuff like Ki, swords, and forms.
I mean I don't know, Natsu was on the show 9 years ago and I don't think Casts cement any scaling used in fights.
