DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Yeah, Cell is 100% losing this pity fight.

I would be surprised if somehow, Death Battle finally gives DB the infinite sized universe statements at least.
This is pretty much very casual base GT Goku vs Metal Sonic in terms of scale.

I highly doubt they will include Heroes or Archie stuff.

Not really. They used a very mid tier golf course destroying feat for danny vs Jake. Nothing of it was the comics.
And it would have been way more memeable and exciting than bleach getting the w "they have been really wanting" since vs Naruto.

I think Yusuke vs Danny would’ve at least been a lot more interesting. Feels like Ichigo was just diet Yusuke in this fight. At least against Naruto he was cool

Ichigo won to the surprise of nobody.

But Yusuke's characterization was top notch.

The sprites were absolutely gorgeous too.

Even Yusuke's loss was respectable. Ichigo treating him more like Grimmjow just made sense.

Doomposting aside, the fight potential is genuinely insane for this and at least Sonic fans (me included) will be able to have a palette cleanser after the relatively disappointing outcome of Bowsegg (still the best DB ep). There’s absolutely no way they **** this up right? Right?
 
Cell X vs Metal Overlord
That'd be way way more interesting than just letting metal slaughter a solar system buster.

Cell getting turned into ashes and zenkai boosting to he matches Base Metal and absorbing him would be rad to see ngl.
Also arguing there is no master emerald to be used for no super forms.

Zenkai boosts from regen + arguing no super forms would be available for Metal + maybe arguing that even base batman can beat Metal.

Yusuke vs Danny is worse.

Nobody buys Complex Multiversal Danny. I think the wiki here is on crack cocaine alone for it. Even his best win-con (Overshadowing) is useless against Yusuke because of Astral Projection and regular humans resisting it.

Also Danny and Jake were both kinda cringe in their episode.
 
As entertaining as the idea of them using Xeno Cell/Cell-X is, I don't think Death Battle's going to go that far because then at that point just use the Archie Comics as well. My guess is that Death Battle's going to be using the games and IDW Comics for Metal Sonic primarily, while Cell will be a combination of the anime/manga with snippets of GT and movie scaling thrown in there.

As for who I think wins? Well I personally think that Cell's going to be way stronger and faster than base Metal, but once Neo Metal and Super come into play then it's pretty much a wash for Cell. Especially since Modern Neo Metal Sonic can copy someone's bio data after getting hit by them once, meaning that Cell's just going to end up fighting someone with the same powers as himself.

I am pretty sure most sonic fans prefer Cell to be restricted to the manga only for the solar system pity win.

Pretty sure base GT Goku in the super 17 saga is far above buu saga SS3 Goku.
Regardless, the point stands.
Casual Base GT Goku is the highest Cell possibly scales to with toei scaling.

No they didnt, they capped him at planet level, barely over 4 zettatons, which is small planet here, meanwhile for bleach they said realms size is unclear, just that pocket dimensions with a star and planet exist, no further elaboration being universes

And why on Earth Death Battle willl restrict to just the Manga when they always included use Anime and Movies, like they ******* did it with Bardock and don't even mention statements from Toyotarō and Toriyama about the series having no rigid canonicity.

And i doubt any genuine Sonic fans are going to care how strong they are going to rank Cell, since Metal Sonic its still going to win anyway.

It’s debatable but my point is the character interactions would be better. Then again, I just don’t like Bleach
