Shame OPM was lightning in a bottle but between the declining animation and the blatant padding alongside the webcomic and manga being two different continuities with a very inconsistent release schedule plus hiatuses well... the future isn't looking bright.

Don't forget Murata's redraws. I mean, all the respect to the man for his art skills, but I honeslty find that decision very baffling. Like, I could understand he went through various drafts and changed things before releasing the chapters. But deciding to redo stuff after the chapters are released not only takes away from the reader's hands an already delivered product, it makes people having to wait needlessly to see how the story will pan out. I can't imagine how frustrating that must be.
I will always be confused on why they didn’t just follow the monster association arc one to one from the web comic. Cosmic Garou was such a mistake.

I... get this feeling as well. Kinda like that while ONE wants to make a funny story that parodies superhero and action manga elements, while having its share of action, Murata just wants to make an "amazing" straight up action series. Dunno, playing up god as this super evil ultimate villiain mastermind behind everything, using Blast a lot more to build up a sort of nemesis relationship, a much higher use of melodrama and all. I feel like he bought on the hype of Saitama's power and used his, honestly, frigawesome art, to build one spectacular set piece after another to go for... being blunt about it: hype and aura. You get some pretty outlandish stuff, like the whole thing with Void, who IIRC whose introduction was a gag, but Murata made up a whole tragic backstory, more ties to Blast, threw in the multiverse and hyperspace just to give him over the top spectacular abilities, another fight sequence with Blast's also over the top powers and all. It's a feast for scalers and those for the hype, but I dunno, feels all over the place, especially since then Saitama just jobs the guy with the usual gag.

Zod scaling is wacky and Earth Wars and JPG1 scaling doesn't work because Sentinel never shows up in the former and Sentinel is barely relevant in the latter, generally speaking Zod annihilates.
