People on all sides are bribing others via money, TNs, photoshop fixes etc.
Sure when I get accused of it I'm the most evil person ever but when other people actually do it it's fine because it's involving characters people like

Hm, hm not bad. (Liu Kang gets stomped tho?)

What the community likes more? /DBM seems to like Nero quite a lot, seeing her in the top of tier list.

But I not sure about the Discord
All four tend to be at the top of people's lists to the point that it's basically a matter of personal preference

Dang, I really thought Springtrap or Miku would win the whole island, but both guesses were wrong sadly.

As for the remaining peeps, I'm only really knowledgeable on is Henry. I can maybe see him winning, but if I had to bet money on a winner for the island, it would be on Geats. I really hope Henry or Sakuya wins since I like their mu spreads the most, and both don't have a mu I really dislike for them (I don't want Ash to fight Denji since it gets in the way of Denji vs Yuji, and if Geats fights Nero, it gets in the way of Hellboy Vs Nero)

Wrong nero. The Nero people want Geats to fight is from Fate, the Nero Hellboy is mat hed with is from DMC

As someone who literally made Alucard vs Sakuya, I honestly think the MU's kinda shit nowadays, it heavily relies on an unconfirmed theory about Sakuya being an ex-vampire hunter, which even was proposed in-universe but alas it's unconfirmed, without it the MU doesn't really work. Shadow is an even worse case because I don't even know what they have in common.

"Shallow as a puddle" may sound mean-spirited but let's not pretend that Touhou characters are actually deep or something lmao, Zun puts way more effort into the games themselves and the music (especially the music) than writing his characters. Like, legit, coming back to Sakuya, we still know barely anything about her, despite her numerous appearances in the games and her being a quite popular and beloved character.
What makes a matchup interesting to me isn't connections -- which usually just result in predictable "the winner had the same toolkit as the loser but with higher stats and maybe a few trump cards" -- so much as how fun it would be to see their powersets play off each other. And surely you can see the aesthetic alignments of Sakuya and Alucard being Japanese interpretations of solemn European high aesthetics with blades, magic, silver hair, etc. Shadow would be more the "we need the views" option with only the timestuff and general projectile play overlapping as opposed to any visual and story motifs, but their powersets could be fun to interact, too.

Hard disagree on Touhou characters not being deep. Like I said before, you don't need arcs to make interesting characters. Sometimes texture is enough. One might not be able to milk it for synopses and "explained" videos, but Touhou characters are interesting for how they fill roles in their world, act as checks and balances against each other, and generally play off each other. You don't need Joseph-Campbell journeys to make interesting characters; less transforming archetypes are just as worthwhile when there are enough details that accumulate.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how fresh the faces in these later rounds have been. From these four it's gonna be a new series in the show in any case. Kind of a risky strategy given the aforementioned lack of wide palates these days -- reminds me, remember when Reddit was griping that Sauron was "too obscure"? -- but again I respect DB for directly or indirectly casting a spotlight beyond the top ten or so IPs that are hot at the moment. Lot of animation potential with them all, too. Sakuya and Ash have good sprites and 3D models out there, Stickmin would be easier to animate than the already well-done Wily and Tom, etc. Not sure what assets for Geats exist, but aesthetically speaking Kamen Rider could be realized in live-action, 2D, 2.D, or 3D well.

I mean, I didn't say that they aren't interesting, to my understanding being interesting and deep is different.

Anyways, praying to every single fuсking pagan deity I know so that anyone but Sakuya wins. Would preffer Ash winning though.

no one saying thats a bad thing its just end of the day most of them are just simple and thats fine no one needs to be deep to be a good character

Also Alucard more likely fighting Vampire Hunter D than anything if db want to do that and Shadow running it back next with mewtwo

^there vastly two different things

I think texture/being interesting is being deep, regardless of if it's highbrow or lowbrow, transforming or static about it. Even if there isn't an "arc," there is a lot to think about from an otherwise proud character seemingly finding that role-serving and a precise professionalism to be a satisfying identity in a setting typified by ambitious power grabs. Doesn't need an explicit "message" or drama to it, just something to mull over can be good.

RE: Ash Williams, there are a few sprite battle animations of him out there. The vs Leon matchups I've seen weren't special, the vs Hellboy one Gabriel Mouzo did was fine, and this one against Frank West is likely the best I've seen for him and a highlight of Flatzone. Has some annoying impact flash overuse but the combos and counters are excellent and feel more contextual than just interminable turn-taking, one of Mouzo's best. We'll say that the Frank that gets bisected & sealed here was the Dead Rising 4 one, not the classic one we love.

Hell Yeah~ My Goat Geats made top 4. I'm really happy, become a name here talk about a leap in jump. I'm putting my money on Geats winning.

On the Discords Nero Claudius is sitting quite comfortably in being the #1 favourite, an it's the sames on Reddit. Outside I think Liu Kangs got a lot of support and is the genuine main staple of an iconic MK franchise people want to see. Bayonetta seems to be a universally agreed good alt an has the appeal of an overdue runback, an I think she has better odds now with how much people liked the Dante vs Clive fight.

All of these pics are amongst peoples top spread so it seems to be leaning into personal preference. Shoutouts to Nana Daiba as well I hear that name get thrown around for him and that one #1 Sailor Moon vs Geats supporter on Discord who recently got reviewed on the Galaxy Ballot.

Seeing that Geats was a massive target, I'm sure that's a sign that people will get him out (Or at the very least give him a high amount of votes) the next time he goes UFE.

That said, the only person who really hasn't been focused on much is Ash, as every other final 4 contestant (Henry, Sakuya, and Geats) was at close risk of being eliminated by having the 3rd most votes to get out.

Anyways, the only people left that I really care about are Henry and Sakuya, but the downside is that both are at risk of getting out due to the former being too popular while the latter is too obscure.

You know what, I'll probably say a controversial take but fuсk it: At this point I genuinely think Dio is the best (realistic) option for Sakuya. Does it have connections? No, just like every single other popular Sakuya MU lmao. But ngl, it just feels really funny for some reason. Oh, and OMM showed that the MU has animation potential and I think it'd be even cooler with HA Dio or some shit like that.

Dio vs Springtrap is now peak when I steal all of these exact arguments

Wasn't Sakuya inspired by Dio according to ZUN, though?

Anyways, another thing to add is that I've heard the debate can apparently get very close if you composite Dio (To the point where both would have Outerversal arguments [Yeah, Touhou on this site is hella outdated especially given how the only person who did major work on it is now permabanned]) which was something Sakuya VS Dio requesters have been trying to push.

I've also heard that another popular opponent for Sakuya is Death from Castlevania.

I mean, yeah, it's kinda obvious. The issue is that Dio only really inspired Sakuya with the knife throwing and time shenanigans, otherwise the two have nothing in common.

...Outer Sakuya smells like wank to me but if that makes my girl solo her every single opponent, then I'm all in for it lmfao.
