DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

You know another really cool Mashle based fight is Ryoh Grantz vs Desscares. Both are the next greatest up and comic wizard/witch, both are associated with gold, both are cocky are cocky and full of themselves but for excellent reasons as the strongest on the side of good, and most importantly.... BOTH HAVE IN CANON MERCH OF THEMSELVES.

Ah, but, Ryoh stomps, lame.... Better than Dess vs Gojo, who should ACTUALLY fight Wahlberg, also from Mashle. Seriously they are earily similar.

Freddy Krueger Vs Pennywise really do be one of those MUs that is really good on paper, but looks into their lore and it becomes laughably one sided in Pennywise's favor. And it's not some overwanked meta type shit, Pennywise is just legitimately built different. 💀
Idk man, Freddy won the cast episode just like Omni-Man.

Mmm, yeah, these are cool. However, Mash does also fit the first and third points. Mash's will is so strong that despite the persecution he faces he still fights to make a brighter world for himself and his pops and eventually everyone in the world (and he can still fight on despite having his heart ripped out so hey that's some strong willpower), and he's also a bit of dummy that still brings people to the light thanks to his genuine words.

I also feel as though both Mash and Asta's stories go deeper, as both were persecuted for their lack of magic, who as babies were adopted by kind old men. Their final bosses are also time manipulating wizards who are obsessed with perfection in their own ways.

I think the biggest thing that sells me on the MU though is actually a contrast, that being while Asta is surrounded by devilish imagery and is back by one, Mash is associated with holy imagery and is backed by literal god.
I'd still argue Natsu fits Asta personality more. Mash is stoic while Natsu and Asta are loud hot heads
Also Natsu is also an ophan twice (three?) times actually and was raised by Salamander/by the Fairy Tail wizards once his dragon dad got sealed himself inside of Natsu. I personally think Natsu and Asta truly finding a family in the group of weirdo renegade wizards after joining their group fits better as a connection than Asta and Mash.
Also also guess what Zeref, one of the final bosses of Fairy Tail, main plain is. Guess what kind of magic it is.

LightColumbo looks like to be writers pet project to wank his favorite again which sucks ******* ass.

Weirdly Ive seen people say Freddy beats Pennywise due to complications despite potential stats gap.

I swear if they portray Light as an arrogant, bumbling idiot, I will legit mald

People really love bringing up his ep2 mistake despite him clearly learning from it and actually becoming better at controlling his emotions later on in the series.

I seriously can't see how Columbo will do better than L against Light.

While in most cases a hot head vs a hot head leads to excellent back and forth, Mash is a character who works upon it by firing back with his own one-liners. It's also why I'd rather not have Mash vs Saiki for that reason included among my many....

If I had a nickel for every time a fantasy story's final boss had magic based on manipulating time, I'd have 3 nickels...

Also I thought Fairy Tail was still ongoing with the hundred year quest?

And unrelated to any of these points, isn't Asta vs Natsu a stomp in the latter's favor?

Boros eating the punch DBZ style to then smirk on him was cool

Battle Beast has the best AP and speed, but how you logically gonna have him be able to kill him for good, as he has far better regen which even Saitama consecutive hits couldnt put him down

Only way that comes to mind, to mirror with Saitama is deflect his own blast at him, cuz fisticuffs alone can go for so long

TBF Death Battle doesn’t seem to believe people learn from their mistakes they did the same thing to Discord, saying a mistake he made back in Season 4, before his character development was completed mind you, was something he would definitely do again.

I mean it's not like Light has that going for him. He's the same guy going "I AM THE GOD OF THE NEW WORLD" in his own house with his family in it and going "I WIN" while laughing like a madman out in the streets.

Hell, he even pre-emptively celebrates his victory in front of Near and the gang's faces before they even officially kicked the bucket, and it bit him in the ass when it was revealed that they were 10 steps ahead of him or something.

I'm betting Dante winning but do I have a chance at being right? I know nothing about FF XVI and I've heard people say that the DB team doesn't buy cosmic Dante.
