I've been doing research on the patent, which you can actually look up on the internet, and from what I understand: Nintendo's patent seems to specifically be focusing on summoning mechanics like Pokeballs from Pokemon and not a general patent of summoning others to fight if that makes sense. It's still ******, and pretty much a blatant attack on games like Palworld, but I'm pretty confident games like Digimon and Persona don't violate that patent since their mechanics are separate from Pokemon. That is so f***ing Nintendo. I doubt something this deranged goes through, but if it does what? Goodbye Personas, goodbye Stands, goodby Summons, goodbye Partner Digimons and so on? Hell, maybe even goodbye sending troops into battle in a war simulation game?
Because as we know Corporations would never use underhanded methods or legal loopholes to take down their competitors.I've been doing research on the patent, which you can actually look up on the internet, and from what I understand: Nintendo's patent seems to specifically be focusing on summoning mechanics like Pokeballs from Pokemon and not a general patent of summoning others to fight if that makes sense. It's not, because Palworld literally removed that aspect of summoning from the game entirelyI've been doing research on the patent, which you can actually look up on the internet, and from what I understand: Nintendo's patent seems to specifically be focusing on summoning mechanics like Pokeballs from Pokemon and not a general patent of summoning others to fight if that makes sense. But that was in response to the lawsuit from Nintendo, if I'm not mistaken. And my assumption is that Nintendo filed that patient to ensure that nothing like Palworld can come up again in the future (which I'm not defending whatsoever, by the way. I'm merely explaining why I think they did it in the first place). It's not, because Palworld literally removed that aspect of summoning from the game entirely
Ain't that truth, huh? Corporate sabotage is all kinds of ******. But I'm just saying that the patent Nintendo was granted is very specific in its wording and pretty much refers to summoning mechanics akin to Pokemon and not the mechanic as a whole. And as I said: I don't support nor do I defend shit like this, but I also don't want to succumb to sensationalism when there's nuance to it.Because as we know Corporations would never use underhanded methods or legal loopholes to take down their competitors.
Nintendo instead of making good Pokémon games decide to just file for patents and sue because they’re so ******* incompetent for some reason when it comes to Pokemon games.
Yeah but that's not the patent people are currently freaking out over. The current one effectively bans the use of summoning in any game that isnt nintendo, a mechanic that has been a thing since almost the beginning of games. Soulsborne, final fantasy, elder scrolls, smt/persona, basically any rpg. People are lowkey hoping that this causes Disney to go after Nintendo because it would drastically affect Kingdom Hearts. But that was in response to the lawsuit from Nintendo, if I'm not mistaken. I mean technically they just have the rights to exclusively publish the games while Gamefreak's the one whipping their underpaid employees to shit games out every 2 months.
Yeah Nintendos patents are so stupid. Patents in general are so dumb whether it's video games, movies, or even ******* medicine (I seriously can't believe it's legal for medical stuff specifically, like how????), trying to make ideas exclusive is so insane.
Browser PFP
Most likely a Nintendo Spy

Oooooo, now there's a matchup that hits all my interests at the same time...
Oh, I remember someone a wrote a script for this before.
Funny thing about Chaldea: if you just kill Ritsuka the entire ******* show falls apart.Oh, I remember someone a wrote a script for this before.
Chaldea should win this High-Extreme diff due to hax.
True.Funny thing about Chaldea: if you just kill Ritsuka the entire ******* show falls apart.
Just spawn something on them.True.
But like, good luck with that lol.
And based on our profiles Joker is one of the most BS of them all from what I can tell.Just spawn something on them.
Also SMT Humans are horseshit, it's not good luck they're gonna just ******* adapt lmfao
Meh.Just spawn something on them.
Also SMT Humans are horseshit, it's not good luck they're gonna just ******* adapt lmfao
I don't see how when none of them scale to the Root which is the kind of stuff you need to stack up against Joker.Meh.
I know they are op as ****, I still think Chaldea just barelly get a win tho.
I think if we go with a Max Chaldea with every Servant available the sheer number of BS that could be brought to the table would make it debatable.I don't see how when none of them scale to the Root which is the kind of stuff you need to stack up against Joker.
Well.I don't see how when none of them scale to the Root which is the kind of stuff you need to stack up against Joker.
Gonna be blunt: There's like 3 servants max who even maybe can **** with the Root. It's a 3v10 or so, and those ten have an AP advantage and a half.I think if we go with a Max Chaldea with every Servant available the sheer number of BS that could be brought to the table would make it debatable.
So, JoJo's can't use Stands because apparently Pokemon invented that mechanic that JoJo's was using about a decade before Pokemon existed. The two problematic patents are:
*Short duration battles using a summon to fight for you
Are they going to sue everyone who has ever ridden a horse?*Mounting and dismounting a terrestrial or aerial creature to ride as a mount
It's actually not legal to claim a patent on something you didn't invent.including games that existed years before pokemon
Question is: Is it not legal in JAPAN to claim a patent on something you didn't invent? It's actually not legal to claim a patent on something you didn't invent.
