DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

They have counter you multiple times ya just ignore it because they called you out for being disingenuous about It
They have not, no. Ive debated him multiple times and debunked everything he's had to say, so he got mad and started flinging insults. If anyone brings up that ive blocked them on reddit, that is why. That is the ONLY reason why i would block someone on reddit.

@The_Unknown_Warrior1 All the more reason why you need to give everyone equal screen time and development. Jaune should not have overtaken the spotlight. If they wanted the other side characters to be fleshed out, they could’ve done an FMA where everyone had equal screen time and development and a purpose. I genuinely can’t think of a single character in FMA that was useless or didn’t contribute, where with RWBY the amount of characters that amount to nothing is insane.
It doesn't help that Jaune's VA is Miles Luna, one of the writers of RWBY, so maybe there was personal bias in giving Jaune so much attention?

But yeah, I agree with you. As much as RWBY gets ragged on, and for legitimate reasons I should stress, one of the reasons why I'm an unironic fan of the show in spite of its flaws is precisely because of both its heroes and also its villains. Yet when I see characters that I like not getting enough screen time while the ones I hate/don't give a shit about do get more screen time, it kills off my enjoyment.

Sure Buddy I checked his stuff and didn't even see any insults by any measure from him at all show proof of this instead of lying m8

@The_Unknown_Warrior1 The thing that killed my investment with RWBY was when they bastardized Adam and Ironwood. That was the final straw for me with what they did to those dudes. They deserved so much better and a part of me feels like they ruined them just because they’re too afraid to give team RWBY any moral dilemma.
Not only that, but they doubled down on ******* Ironwood over with Arrowfell. In the show they made it really vague as to whether Ironwood was just overreacting to things and freaking out due to his semblance making him go insane, but then in Arrowfell they made it an entire thing that he had every right to be paranoid because there had been multiple coups, parts of the military that went rogue and turned against him, and several attempts on his life since the fall of Beacon.

OK, but for me that was hilarious. They unintentionally made a strong moral dilemma for the main cast and ironwood (a lot of people were picking ironwood side too). So then they make him cartoonishly evil for volume 8 so team RWBY can be the moral ones.😂

There not low 7-B either so....
Cinder dogwalked them mad it clear they weren't shit to her ya downscaling while dismissing Maka downscaling from Asura and Crona is laughable
They are yes. Cinder did not 'dogwalk' them, watch any figh with her in volume 7 and 8, they are able to hold their ground against her and even dismember her. Maka on the other hand outright says herself that she doesnt scale to Crona or Asura dozen of times, and people just ignore it.

Goes from trying to save as many people as possible to avoid Salem’s wrath to just nuking the entire city of Mantle just so he can get a maiden back and shoot anyone who disagrees with him. Quality writing ladies and gentlemen
And then they only explain his semblance and the effect it had on his psyche in the extended media instead of the show itself

I said it before if you want to get mad at anyone get mad at RWBY having dog shit writers they got peeps thinking RWBY cast gotten weaker than stronger.

Get mad at them for focusing on a side character like Jaune more than the MAIN CHARACTER HERSELF

Get mad over the fact for 13 YEARS RWBY been going on and the good feats that had happened to the series only scales to the GOD Brother themselves.

Seriously it took other less time for other series to get good shit, sure authors ain't vs nerds but at some point ya gonna have to deliver on the feats and we'll RWBY haven't in years
And yet they insist on keeping those writers til the end of time...

The thing that killed my investment with RWBY was when they bastardized Adam
I feel that, alongside general incompetence, Adam's bastardization happened because Miles and Kerry pussied out of exploring the racial tensions between humanity and the Faunus. Like it's constantly hammered in that the Faunus have not been treated well in parts of Remnant, especially in kingdoms like Atlas (which is why Weiss started off hating Faunus before her development) and that organizations like the White Fang exist because they feel the only way for humans to give Faunus respect and equality is through fear and intimidation. And in the case of Adam: he had a justifiable reason to not like humans because it was humans who made him a slave and branded him, yet they ****** up all that complexity and made him into the deranged ex-boyfriend of Blake for reasons I don't know why.
and Ironwood
I have two sides of me that feel differently about Ironwood's downfall in V8. One side of me thinks that might've been done on purpose to demonstrate Ironwood losing his humanity as a result of his paranoia and desire to defeat Salem no matter the cost in doing so. But the other side of me knows Ironwood had similarly bullheaded and a "achieving the task, no matter the cost" type of attitude yet it was balanced by Ironwood's genuine desire to protect the innocent and doing what's right for all of Remnant. Having that guy later trying to nuke Mantle out of existence was absolutely hilarious in terms of how over the top it felt.
They deserved so much better and a part of me feels like they ruined them just because they’re too afraid to give team RWBY any moral dilemma.
That, and I would argue they did it also because Miles and Kerry weren't confident in writing nuanced and morally grey topics into RWBY.

@The_Unknown_Warrior1 I genuinely believe they bastardized Adam into being a creepy stalker just to satisfy all of the Bumblebee shippers and canonize them being a thing.
**** Bumblebee in all honesty, Blacksun should've happened instead. Sun and Blake had much more chemistry and development, and the romantic implications were super freaking thin in Volume 4 and 5.

Whether that was a decision from Miles and Kerry, or an attempt to appeal to the rabid shippers in the RWBY fandom, I'll just never understand the appeal behind Yang and Blake being a thing.

It okay, Sunny Kalifornia can still happen

I personally like Bumblebee more than Blacksun, but I wish they hadn't thrown out the stuff they were setting up for Blacksun for it to happen.

Also, Not Fall in Love With You >>> Bmblb

And I'm a Warcraft fan. Imagine having 4 characters and a Goddess character assassinated in a single expansion.

I'd take RWBY Volume 8 over Shadowlands anyday, because at least with RWBY, you can't count the good things with it on one hand lmfao

I ain't gonna flex myself as some god tier writer I'm average as the next guy but you got a know who to focus on primarily for ya story
If i write a story i give all characters as much as i can a story dedicated to themz so that everyone is shining, although that can prove to be challenging at times too

Really? I just tried counting, and I could only think of a few good things about Volume 8.
  • Sire Denathrius(killed in first raid)
  • Garrosh(Killed in first scene)
  • Zenith Mortis(final area)
  • Bwonsamdi(limited scenes)
If I went over everything wrong with Shadowlands this would be an hour-long post and I'd miss things, but imagine if the God of Light mindfucked a character(only revealed in the next expansion, by the by) to burn 80% of a species to send to the realm of death without even checking to see what the problem was. Now imagine if the God of Light was worshipped verbally by people since Volume 1.

By the way, that's one thing wrong in a singular scene. With a singular character. Now apply this across an entire expansi9n where grind doesn't even begin to explain the gameplay.

In the meantime, get mad at CRWBY and RT/Viz for capitulating to a MeToo mob and allowing Qrow's replacement VA in Liebrecht to gas up a literal wife beater (no, that's not a joke), at a point in the series where Qrow becomes a weaker and arguably developmentally regressed character.

I'm sure this has nothing to do with anything when it comes to writers and how powerful characters are. No sir-ee.
