DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

If we go by the site's standards, or Death Battle's standards, Hulk should be more than capable of affecting IT due to a vastly superior cosmology compared to Godzilla's cosmology to be fair
Eh....No?

Hulk's range:

Range: Extended Melee Range due to his size, Varies from Kilometers to Planetary with thunderclaps (Thunderclaps can reach up to Kilometers in every direction, by attacking the ground he can impact an entire planet), At least Interdimensional with Multilocation (Gamma Powered individual exist in the below place and the real world at same time)

Godzilla's range:

Range: Outerversal

Agreed tho composite is Ryu is somewhat debatable depending on how you scale the entirely of Capcom (plus some Marvel capeshit too) but 65/35 Comp Goku will likely win mostly thanks to Arale and... Fortnite!
Just like brought up for Godzilla here, the crossovers Capcom has with Marvel arent 616 canon, Marvel literally counts MvC as being an alternate universe which Capcom characters exist along Marvel characters

Also, idk, even if Ultima was banished in the fight they pretty much outright said Hulk solos with a punch, just as he SHOULD

Tbh Goku vs Usagi prooooobably cant happen due to Toei shenanigans.

...Unless they dont use any anime scenes teehee.

It was told to us by a DB member, according to Tipper, that he banished the SP rather than killing "It"

No he is just layered more Godzilla.
Think about it in pancakes.
Godzilla could destroy one pancakes, but Hulk could destroy five.
The One Above All isn't even the Ultimate being in Marvel, from what I remember he appears to be "the ultimate being", but he's actually at the bottom of another hierarchy of entities

ahm...i am pretty sure they scaled Kyle higher than Hulk and Simon still pretty much beated him up
Nah, they pretty much said Hulk>Eternal physically, who is layers into R>F, and Hulk's immortality is granted by TOBA, who's = to TOAA who's completely unreachable to character many layers of R>F above Eternal.
Wich means that so far Hulk is completely unkillable by any character on DB comparable to himself and has 1-A AP/DURA => than Simon/Kyle's shown peak on top of Potential to keep growing.

Since when? TOAA was meant to be omnipotent, they pretty much retcon that like with beyonder now
Since Al Ewig changed the cosmology, TOAA is the limit for Marvel's characters to know, the apex, but there is always something beyond, the Mystery, the unknown and to know it all the journey never ends. It's all in Defenders: Beyond

In fairness, our Marvel profiles are in desperate need of revisions and overhauls to the feats included in the stats. Including the range

VBW aside, in the episode itself, they made mention of Hulk having the range to affect infinite dimensions and places beyond the Entity like the Below Place. Add Bruce Banner being able to counteract the Archetype and all that jazz, it was pretty much GG for Godzilla.

I think I will avoid any capeshit debates from now on. Everything is so inconsistent and confusing, you not only have to deal with people ignoring the anti-feats but you also have no way of knowing what's cap and what's not since there's like a bajillion self-contradicting comic issues to go through. Others seem to have done that already, so I will do so too.

The Marvel profiles are probably going to be downgraded soon, so yeah…

Was the Hulk even capable of affecting 1-A realms in the comics via range?

99% OF GAMBLERS QUIT BEFORE THEY HIT IT BIG!!!
I WOOOOOOOONNNNN

Well, that was definitely an interesting fight. The animation looked a lot smoother than artemis' other fights this year, and bruce finally playing a role in it was awesome too. I only really have a surface level understanding of both of these guys, so i can't really say whether DB missed something, but the outcome seemed sensible enough going off what they brought up. My opinion of the fight will probably change a bit when i rewatch it, but i think this is a solid 9/10 episode, don't have any major problems with this one

On everybody’s souls IT is gonna hijack the next episode to run it back for my goat (not cope) 🙏

I can ignore the results though because this episode cooks. Fight was great and all (seeing the DA redemption is nice) but the analysis stood out most as probably one of my favourites in recent times. Fight flowed better than I thought and honestly they did a decent job cramming everything both had while being concise.

As for some gripes though it kind of sucked that there was no montage of the different incarnations of Goji and personalities of Hulk going at it and the hard cut to a few days later in the fight felt kind of jank. Also I really thought Goji stood a chance because of Kymon and Spawnrider but we ended with capeshit taking the crown for strongest in DB history again. 9/10

The next time kind of sucks ass for the 200th episode ngl, especially because even as fan of neither I can see the winner from a mile away. There’s also the fact that the ep after could be traveller v aang so this is could be a pretty boring period.
