DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Im hearing Pactum Aeternus being brought lately for Hulk against Ultima, I havent read that comic, what is it?
it's an unbreakable contract which makes the deal a prophecy and a law of the natural world. after Banner signs it to hand over Hulk's body in exchange for the survival of their companion, Charlie, the Eldest child of the Mother of Horrors binds Hulk in the unbreakable chains of eternity, made from the First Firmament itself, and is about to possess his body, which was granted to her according to the pact, but it doesn't work and she's blown back into a wall. in shock, she repeats that the pact is unbreakable and asks what protects Hulk, which to me implies TOBA since TOBA broke a previous incarnation of Hulk from Eldest's possession in the past a few issues prior. and after this, Hulk just breaks his way out of the chains too

Busted.

I mean, if anything, if other companies outside Toho are willing to spend resources, talent and time on Godzilla for new works it just shows how popular and profitable he is to begin with.

Unironically Godzilla vs Hedorah was one of the most ambitious Godzilla movies and if it wasn't for how bonkers it was it'd be up there with 1954, 1984, GMK, Shin, and Minus One in trying to actually have a message
Nah nah nah, you're just not seeing the vision, it's even deeper than those. Enlighten yourself....

I can’t get over the relevance in the west thing, the last Japanese Godzilla movie made more money in the US than it did in Japan.
ya know I can get the argument that if he went over how Godzilla needs Ultima and crossovers to stand a chance but resorting to relevance was the dumbest thing he did

Could he solve the Ultima equation, though 🤔. I know hes smart but idk if hes up there with Reed, Tony, Doom, and T'challa.
he could...if he had access to SHIVA (the second half of "It") tied to circuits in such a way that it can be used as a computer, if his universe had previously encountered Godzilla and had red dust and some old scientist researched it to the point where he invented a way to make the singular point disappear, if he had an ai that could enter SHIVA before it gets nuked and if that AI spends a billion attempts to figure out an impossible number necessary to create a half-assed version of the weapon the old scientist made and could communicate that idea without creating a split in the timeline.
All that combined with Godzilla being capable of nuking SHIVA and constantly attacking Hulk.

Oh, right, and it means nothing since all it does it temporarily vacate the singular point (not "it", the hole "it" uses to access the universe) from the universe and all that not even through direct manipulation but through destroying red dust which anchors the singular point to the universe.

they may have used my Hero has returned calc to scale in the cast
They said a double digit gigaton island level feat of vaporizing the han river - which is exactly what my calc is.

anyways db put up a poll on the chat on who do folks want to see get on db between fate and xenoblade
Do they not like Lightning vs Shulk lol (waits for Joycap to appear)

nah but fr now that you mention it, has anyone ever pitched a Xeno JRPG vs Fate MU? Where should I start with Fate, anyway?

Also, did the above video just bring up Shulk vs Lightning or something? I'm kinda late to the video because dinner, so does anyone want to give me the Tl;dr/MU that was pitched that was Xeno related, if at all?

ngl current Wanda and Phoenix are prob stronger than Franklin but there stans brought this upon themselves by getting heated over this

I'm a bit lost, what happened with Scarlet Witch? A writer with her avatar was pretty pissed in a tweet some pages ago.
