DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

So like, I havent really felt like it before, but its probably due to my disinterest in the MU.

But even the analysis was kinda boring. Miles' was very short.

Fight looked good, but choreography wasnt as good. Unironically this could be a 6/10 ep, its bland.

Bro, imagine what'll happen if Hulk wins the episode but Godzilla beats the strongest version of Hulk in their canon fight when Issue 4 drops. 😭

Anyway, because of the annoying Godzilla scalers I want Hulk to win hard bad.
My opinion is Godzilla consistently only reaches 4-B through chain scaling and he needs Marvel and SIngular Point Scaling to be relevant. The fact that this fight is even happening means they have to be using Singular Point otherwise there is no point in the battle happening.

Godzilla, due to millions of years of experience across different media might be tied with Hulk for experience. Hulk will get intelligence. Godzilla will get powers and abilities and maybe unkillability. Hulk will get strength, skill, and intelligence.

It's Like 10 minutes till the episode drops so I'm gonna go on record to say that I'm betting on all yall's souls that Miles is gonna win 🙏
spider-man # 2 by powder is bad is shown on a television screen

Anyways on first impressions, this is a pretty middle of the road ep. Not bad but def not the best of this year. The analysis didn't hook me on their stories, but they did their job. I love the fight animation and its style, I also haven't heard the track on its own yet but it sounds good in the ep. My main problem with the animation is that the death is kinda lame and the emotional beat didn't hit me.

Lmao you could see perfect cell for a second in one of Deku’s clips. Wonder what that could mean. This episode definitely felt worse than Shigaraki vs Mahito though so only a 7/10.

As for the next time, I have to put all my faith in my goat the G-man because toxic fans could never get in the way of the peakness of my king 🗿

Apparently classic Showa Goji has Tier 2 arguments and MTFL+ speeds, so hey thats something.

Godzilla actually has Tier 2 scaling through some of his different media, but i doubt anything that ins't Singular Point reaches Tier 1

That's just a scene from the Jump Force game, nothing really special

How do we end up with two episodes back to back where my first instinct is 'skip'? (also it seems my trick of 'play through the thing (FF13) that I want to get out the way' didn't work... bugger...)

Fight animation was alright, and the track wasn't the complete droning earrape that Watts Up Danger was... but that post analysis honestly confuses me. 'More experience with Multiverse ending foes' eh? ...It's starting to rhyme with 'the planet-busting Sephiroth' (I know that there were a bunch of conversations about how much of an outlier MV/2-C+ Miles was, but it's the way it was glossed over instead of just addressing how much of an outlier they actually are). Other than that? Eh...

For the next time, I have to put all my faith in my goat the G-man because toxic fans shouldn’t get in the way of liking a character 🗿
GOATzilla's got this.

He's wrapped up Kong, Cthulhu, Superman, the Kraken, AND the Avengers. Big-G left King Shark a clownfish, and has already turned Gamera (and the Dragonzord {which he probably shouldn't have won but let's not talk about that}) into victims on Death Battle. Now he's going on a second CANON run wrapping up Marvel, gonna whoop The Justice League too. Lil' Green got nothing on him, brother can't even get his own solo movie. His own villains don't want anything to do with him, they'd rather fight Captain America.

Mm. I really don't wanna come across like a hater or anything, but I just did not vibe with this episode at all. There were some shots in the animation that I kinda liked, but aside from that, it just wasn't my thing.

Next time wasn't a miss, at least.
It was very experimental. I have to give props to Morro for even trying this because the actual animation itself was smooth, it just felt slow and weightless.

The dialogue was either peak or awful in the fight

"I moved us to an abandoned part of the city so we can go all out! Because I always try my best!" was like it was written by Ai

"Overwritten" is probably a more valid complaint, in the same vain as what people claimed Sanji's final line was. Take out 'I always try my best', and we would have been fine here (also, does DBa have an incentive to use AI?).
