DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

@Emirp sumitpo
Neat match up. Was confused on Deathsaurus being composited until I realised Ghidorah was getting composited as well, so fair enough ig. Deathsaurus analysis is pretty well done I gotta say, though some of that scaling is really wacky.

Like what
Deathsaurus scaling to high tier characters like Star Convoy, Gold Megatron or the goddamn Cloud characters is straight up untrue. Without those, he's honestly just 4-B.

The research is for the feats is quite well done but the scaling is the main problem here. Though considering this is using Earth Wars material, then his composite self being Low 1-C is fine.

If you think that's weird then look at their current profiles.
Looking at the profile, gamma ray bursts aren't just static energy, the energy is based on the number of gamma rays coming out at what intensity. A burst’s total energy depends both on the number of gamma-ray photons and each photon’s energy, so like we can assume it meets the latter but unless these gamma ray bursts are the size of stars it's not going to have the energy of real gamma ray bursts?

To be fair, size doesn't really mean anything in this case since, for example, Garou can also create real gamma ray bursts that are just as powerful as full size ones without obliterating the planet he's on.

I keep seeing them mentioning how because Miles Morales' Venom Strike can take out Fing Fang Foom who can withstand Iron Man's repulsor blasts, his venom strike would work on Deku. For one thing Voltage and current isn't the same as energy. A shock that can paralyze or kill a person can be as low as like single digit joules, but obviously a punch with that much energy would feel like a finger flick on them. While Iron Man's repulsors do use muons which are similar to electrons, they are larger and would work more as a concussive thermal and ionizing force instead of electrons that would flow through the body and shock the nervous system, they cannot be compared to accute electric shocks which require microfractions the energy of an equivalent concussive force to paralyze a person.

Death Battle could do the funniest ******* thing to counter the whole "Venom Blasts hurt people with genetic powers more" thing since Quirkless Deku's new suit is stated to be able to mimic OFA's abilities, they could just use that version of him and just have him fight as he normally would while taking away that potential bonus point for Miles. XD

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they talked about / black-boxed that in the post-analysis, even though they'll probably use OFA Deku for the animation. Sorta like how they pointed out in Batman vs Iron Man that Tony could probably win the fight without even needing to be there.

200 million on opening weekend ya love to see it

Another West vs East MU. I like it.
I was sold on it recently, I like the idea of the mental battle where Maruki summons mental images of the X-men to fight Xavier and in response, Charles creates images of the PTs. The Onslaught vs Adam fight as a climax fight could be cool too

Honestly? I'm glad that it's doing so well thus far. Like I know it's Superman we're talking about, so it's obvious that he'll have plenty of name recognition for people to want to go see his movies, but it's still pretty nice to see a non MCU superhero movie performing well.

And hey: if this is but a taste for what's to come with James Gunn's DCU, much like Creature Commandos, then perhaps DC will finally be able to move past its god awful DCEU phase.

Man we are getting 3 Mahvel returnees in row huh. How often has 3 returnees in row happened?

Waiting to see G1 take on the mu but frankly deku should just take it

The fact they brought up Deku can pilot his body even when it's ****** up kinda tells you yeah miles is cóoked
They also still haven't even mentioned Gearshift and 120% yet either which are major wincons for Deku as well.

Cant wait to see low Megaton AP Miles after all this Herald talk and how Miles couldnt properly land Venom Strike and how Deku could resist it too.

That'd be incredibly messed up, but I don't believe they'd do that for the simple fact that Epilogue Deku's super suit is basically featless. We were told that it can mimic OFA's abilities but not perfectly replicate them. I sincerely doubt the suit has a built in function that can puppet him without it being a part of his biology like OFA's Black Whip is, so using Epilogue Deku is definitely a downgrade.

However I can't make the argument that it's acknowledged that it's weaker by using Deku's new Hero Rating as proof because the series tells us that Hero Rankings are part audience perception along with general superhero-ing, but at the same time I find it hard to believe that the hero that literally saved the world from Super Satan isn't as popular as admittedly also super cool guy Fallout Boy- I mean Lemillion.

It would still be super funny though. Even if it only mimicked like half of One For All's power and had nerfed mechanical replacements for the extra Quirks it would still be way more than enough for Deku to cook Miles since he's shown being comparable to Post-War Timeskip Bakugo and Todoroki who each would bully Miles too.
