DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

They used peak Ben (AKA Ben with Master Control)

The fight is Ben VS Hal, not Alien X VS Hal
I mean it’s fine to take this frame of thinking but it isn’t how the show would approach it. You could easily say “it’s Joker vs Giorno, not Joker vs GER” for a similar reason for another very recent example for how they take this seriously.
How would the Failsafe work if Ben is already knocked out?
The Failsafe wouldn’t activate if Ben was just knocked out, but if you were to try kill Ben while he was knocked out it would activate, since it doesn’t require conscious thought on Ben’s part. It activated when a Big Bang went off in front on him which he had no chance to perceive or react to.

Tbf, JJK scaling is shit because JJK Supporters come up with the most ass-backwards scaling and calcs imaginable. ******* 3-A Yozuro or whatever her name is
3-A came off the thing of how Perfect sphere could generate infinite pressure however it is the same case as Yukis in which nobody scales to it

Though there was a calc for it that instead gave it Country Level results via Creation

It was on reddit but if you dont like 3-A Infinite energy sphere then 6-B sphere is there ig

She technically has the strongest attack in the new gen, yikes!

I wonder how many peeps buy JJK peaking at H3-A on an attack that no-one scales to? (On and off-site).

When he fought Static there were similar "charged" jokes mostly B on B violence 💀 ones.

Spiderverse really did wonders for his popularity (Insomniac help too), also I just realized this will be the third time a Spider-Man character will (likely) get killed by an anime character on DB but at least it'll be a green hair hero instead of pink hair antagonist.
tbf i never saw anyone who ever actually believed in that due to how its an attack that would instantly kill upon touch. Sukuna had to use mahoraga (Since he had to use ten shadows to break megumi, etc) to break the domain since the sure hit became the universal ball because if he didn't JJK wouldve ended early since Gojo could just go and kill yorozu and kenjaku. So nobody really scales

outside of like memes or really intense circle jerks between people that want to argue for Sukuna vs Goku or sum

That's a bad example

It was Joker VS Giorno, but Giorno had access to GER (In the same way that Ben has access to Alien X)

There's a couple of comments i've thought about that

What's the guarantee the failsafe would transform Ben into Alien X and not on other hax-based alien?

Had the failsafe ever activated after Ben himself died? If so did it ever brought Ben back to life on an alien form?

Honestly, not my kind of debate tbh

Apparently, Miles already has his own agenda, lol

I will honestly become a Miles Morales patriot, despite the odds, i know my GOAT (Only watched 2 movies with him on it) will triumph

Yeah, but in the fight he had to specifically use the arrow to access it (when Joker could have killed him millions of times over) yet they made it the entire point of the fight, and even then it’s not even like it could even passively be brought up like the Omnitrix can bring up X.

As for your other points, X would be brought up if that’s the only Alien that could deal with Hal, which is likely. As for everything else that’s speculation territory.

Doesn't disqualifies the GER from being used on the fight, you're just saying it's hard to use it

Memes aside - why is this MU happening? I don't believe they have any similarities and they aren't even close to the same Tier - unless you lowball the shit out of Deku and are the biggest Mile *********. Frankly, this seems more lik a spite match because Deku lost to Asta.

it feels WAY too late. this matchup had appeal back when it was arguably even. iirc Deku was around island level but Miles still had a massive speed advantage + electricity so realistic arguments could've been made for either but now Deku is so much stronger and not as much slower and has multipliers on top of all of that. if they still wanted to do it, I think they should've at least waited until Miles' current comic series ends since he's got some interesting things going his way right now

Ignoring any and all possible arguments for this matchup on its own merits (which exist, I don’t deny them), and to be super reductionist, it at minimum would get good views. And for a web show, that’s good enough justification over anything else.

I mean Deku is now casually FTL so I doubt electricity is going to matter.

  • Got the powers of their mentors
  • Miles was taught by Peter like All Might was to Deku in most iterations
  • New gen Superheroes?
  • Early 2010s characters
I'm not gonna sugar-code it both could have better alternatives, but I still think it's decent just not the best

Off the top of my head: a 'next generation' hero who's mentored by another popular hero with whom they share similar powers? That's really stretching it in a couple areas, though.

I'm not even really sure how their abilities can meaningfully interact, outside of the obvious Blackwhip vs Webs connection.

Danger Sense and Spider-Sense (They also look really cool with those energy trails coming out from their body whenever they use their powers)

From what I know the mentorship tie Peter and Miles isn't even a thing in the original Ultimate comics. Peter is straight up dead and Miles had to learn by himself.

Gonna say the same thing I said for Tom & WillE. Don't care
I mean, I'm personally at least more interested in this one than I was with Tom vs Wil E. I like Miles, and I think Deku is alright (don't know why he gets so much hate online).

I don't particularly like the MU, even more so since I know it's a total blowout, but if nothing else I bet it'll be a fun watch. And hey imagine the shit-storm if Miles actually wins, that'd be hilarious.

On a base level yeah, but I do remember one story where they had 173 be able to take on like armies of SCP-682 in some ancient battle with the Scarlet King or something; writers were wildin with that one.
Dawg SCP writers 9/10 are wildin for no reason

Its like they focus too much on the powerscaling rather than the writing at times
