DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

The arguments against the higher scaling are genuinely terrible, literally just "this in an outlier", "this is hyperbole", "this is too vague" over and over, absolutely rancid.
Unless you get further evidence, i don't see reason to take many of those statements at face value.

Especially with stuff like Raoh “destroy Heaven” assuming that it isn't a metaphor and that he does refer to the actual physical universe.

Personally (based on what i know about the First of the North Star's series) the scaling of Kenshiro was very accurate.

Light stomps horribly if it's about who can figure out the others' identity

I can make a whole ass essay about it
Would you be willing to explain? I'm genuinely curious given how all of Light's MUs have some unique twist to them due to their nature.

(You don't have to write a full essay, though, if you don't want to. I'd be fine with a simple TLDR if that's easier).

You need to have the will of Green Lantern (or Simon) to explain all that.

I will just summarize my points:
1. Light outsmarted smarter opponents like L, Near, and Mello. All 3 were trained in Wammy's House, a special curriculum designed to raise geniuses, one that is founded by the world's greatest inventor, and hires renowned experts to train the kids. If you use the CTW novel, then you will know how intense this training is when stopping a plane hijacker is considered an assignment. Mello is so smart that he ruled a mafia so powerful that it could deploy missiles. Near even had the support of the US president for how smart he was. L stopped WW3 as a child and never failed a case until Kira. By comparison, someone like Gus seems....mediocre.
2. Walter has ZERO experience with investigating, the only person in his crew who is good at it, Mike, hates him. Meanwhile, Light inherited the title of the world's greatest detective
3. Finding who Heisenberg is SIGNIFICANTLY easier than catching Kira. Light's connections are.....super busted, since he is connected to the FBI and has authority over every law enforcement. Light can use his title as the 2nd L to make the DEA share their investigative research of the Heisenberg case, all through a single email or phone call. There are so many things Light can do with the info: 1. Badger, who was arrested for being connected to Heisenberg, can be controlled using the Death Note to confess the identities of Walt and Jesse 2. The CCTV footage of Walt and Jesse occurred around the same time Walt stole school lab equipment, and he just so happens to be one of the people who can access it (the only reason he wasn't caught is because Hank is biased for him) 3. Many of Heiseberg's associates are either suspected, known, or convicted criminals, who are aware of his identity and can thus be controlled by the Death Note to expose him. Light will solve the case in just under a week.
4. Catching Kira is nigh-impossible, especially if it's post-timeskip. It took Near and Mello, the successors of the World's greatest detective, years to gather enough intel to make a move on Kira. Yet Mello still died, and Near only survived because of Mello's sacrifice. It will take Walt months or years to get close to him. Even if he figured him out, then what? Good luck finding his house, heck, raiding it is impossible when the dude has connections with the police. Meanwhile, Light only needs a good photo to kill him while he eats potato chips in his bedroom.

I highly suggest reading this. Aside from being one of the best fan scripts, it also shows how the fight will actually go down.

Who would Wally West's best match be if he got a runback?

Definitely not Archie Sonic since Wally's way out of his league nowadays

Aladdin VS Yugo from Wakfu is a good matchup
Can't say I'm familiar with Yugo, but it is probably something I'd enjoy should I put my mind to it.

Joycap, are there any Xeno MUs for Spider-Man?
The Franchise? Or just Peter Parker specifically?

Because if it's the former, I do have Moebius D&J vs Carnage down as a placeholder, but I wouldn't be able to speak beyond that. Who would fall under the umbrella of Spider-Man as a sub-section of Marvel?
