DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

The episode was an 7,8 out of 10 for me, I didn't really care for either of them, Gurenn Lagann was an okay show for me, not really a masterpiece or anything like that and Kyle is a totally unknow character for me, the fight animation itself felt rushed, like the escalation of power was really jarring, they started the fight destroying some hills and damaging the terrain but then jump straight into being as large as Universes

Don't get me wrong, I really liked it, I just have preferences for some series over TTGL
It's like it's slowly increasing in quality (starting normally with a good point in Kamina, moving on to a good work where everything is fine, but dragging some problems from the beginning and after the time skip it's already 100% peak, only having problems in the fanservice)

And it makes sense, TTGL takes its time to create its foundations, (although at the same time it feels rushed at times), and as those foundations appear and show their importance, the series improves.

Yes and no. If you stick a Discord 'view image in browser' media that you post manually (not gifs etc. that redirect to Tenor or something) though archive.ph or archive.is, you can right-click the archive, and post the link it generates through the image function on forums just fine, and it won't be subject to filters/timing decay etc.

It's a back-end trick that I've been using for a while. I recommend you try it.

Hmmm you know, DB has said that Marvel & DC share similar level of Omniversal cosmology. But like... how? They are completely different verses, how could they actually truly have similar levels of cosmology especially since they are quite different in how they work. Whats the actual arguments for them being similar?

keeping the tradition that we ignore that they should be canon to each other lol

Death Battle plays it very fast and loose with DC cosmology.
 
I personally have Life Equation Kyle and Post Apotheosis Simon at solid baseline 1-A, pure headcanon but it's fitting and actually makes it statistically equal if LE Kyle is Godsphere level and the Super Spiral Realm is effectively Simon's own personal Godsphere.
