DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Another one, I do think manga renders work better for the mirrored aspect

I dub it, "No Magic, All Muscle"

I should probably also list the connections on why I think this is a banger MU (and why it trounces Mash vs Saiki)

  • Both are the protagonists of series that take place in a magical world, but unlike their peers the two lack the basic fundamentals of their universe, magic
  • Despite missing something so fundamental to their settings, they both overcome their weaknesses by speccing into a strength build
  • Both were adopted by a kind old man as babies, with Mash being raised by his pops Regro and Asta being taken in by Orsi
  • Their friend groups overlap, with the two of them sharing a serious prodigious rival that aim for the top with magic involving stars in some way (Yuno with his star magic and Lance summoning the God of the Stars Nemesis), a hot headed yet loyal punk that uses magic involving heat (Magna with fire magic and Dot with his explosion magic), a friend who despite their familial situation soon become greater and tap into their potential (Noelle and Finn though this is stretching it a little), and the list can likely go on
  • Their endgame villains are masters of time with the uncanny ability to bear multiple magic types while also aiming to subjugate humanity (which could lead into a DB with Innocent Zero and Lucia's Zogratis fighting

Contrasts of course:
  • Asta is seen with multiple imagery involving devils, while the opposite is true for Mash, as he's represented with angelic imagery (We sorta getting Ghost Rider vs Spawn up here)
  • While Asta wants to become the Wizard King out of his own volition to prove that anyone can become something, Mash only seeks to become a Divine Visionary to protect his own peaceful life with his pops after being given a deal (but eventually he does grow into wanting to show that everyone across the world is equal so I guess this is still a connection?)
  • While Asta does have Anti-Magic as a main component of his kit instead of relying only on his physicals, and later Ki Manipulation, Mash strictly stays to his fist (which like yeah booo anti magic goes wasted again)
Overall I really hope this happens even though Asta is a season 9 combatant so it's unlikely he'll return soon-

I get the expensive price and denuvo is lowering sales + E33 is probably overshadowing it, but the radio silence from the Vs Debating Community on the new Doom Game is really weird to me

Has someone made a blog for Doom eternal that refutes all counters to uni/multi Doomslayer?

Gonna spoiler tag this for anyone unfortunate enough to have not expereinced peak yet
His mace weapon is stated within the codex to have infinite density, which if you take seriously is seriously impressive, but besides that there's apparently not really much power scaling wise compared to how whacky Eternal get even if discounting the cosmic high ends from Ancient Gods

tbh I don't know who to root for. I ain't a big comics guy but some of the few comic runs I have read were Kyles and damn they were amazing, and I mean what can be said about Simon and gurren lagann in general that hasn't already been said. Buttttt I will admit, like a lot of people I also have a strong urge to see DC have a notable loss that isn't against Marvel which might tip me over into rooting for Simon.

Kyle is a fraud who can't even destroy a galaxy, his supossed "outerversal" hax got no sold by some random woman even when he mastered it, to the point he basically conceded after losing the upper hand for a couple of seconds, and basically comitted suicide, constantly jobs, and has to leach from other people to stand a chance against Simon. Doesn't help how this image has a hecking chungus reddit passive agressive tone (like yeah dude, Kyle is high boundless because of DC nonsensical cosmology and his breathing shockwaves atomizes the TTGL verse, BUT, Simon might be able to win via hax)

He isn't a fraud, it's just Death Battle and by osmosis versus debating discourse is so skewed to patently ludicrous scaling for DC heralds that Kyle appears to be a fraud. He was outright the strongest DC character in the early 2000s outside of maybe Wally. His feats are still fantastic compared to other heralds (Actually had some of the best feats) until Rebirth came around. Rebirth is just so ludicrous that Kyle, who was sidelined for Hal, never got the spotlight and appears to be a fraud.

Kyle is being carried hard by how horribly and loosely Death Battle measures DC Cosmology. WL Kyle's best scaling feat is realistically Orrery level (He is a threat to the Guardians who at full power can destroy the New 52 Multiverse) but they're going to do some insane scaling chain to justify him being outerversal somehow.
