Difference being OmniLander was a short fight that was known to be an absolute slaughter, going against Bardock was the real fight. At least AstaDeku wasn't a joke episode.

This guy did a good review on Halo 4, Infinite, and a few months ago 2 which touch upon just how mismanaged modern Halo has been. The lore retcons 343 did are pretty dreadful, and frankly it makes the Star Wars Sequels look tame with how mismanaged it was.
Honestly if Halo was at least doing well this wouldn't feel like another humiliation ritual for Chief, but between 14 years of mismanagement from 343, the ungodly TV show, and now Chief being about to be pasted by a character who is now more popular, more beloved, and has been in better games, it just feels sad to be a Halo fan nowadays.

With how much the Death Battle Reddit is downplaying Doomguy and hyping up the Anti Matter weapons and speed “advantage” I’m actually kinda worried they’re gonna do my boy dirty only to keep the fight interesting
