DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Hey guys Good Morning,
I just want to derail this thread by saying Real Life Humans should be Tier 0. Why?
This man right here:
gigachad.jpg

Gigachad is beyond dimensionality and concepts
He is considered the Ultimate Human with all humans having the potential to be him
With that said, I say all Humans are Tier 0
If you want more of my arguments, you can read more about this in my paper "The Micro Neurological Connections Of The Physics of Ubermensch and the Macro Economic Factors on Homo Sapiens in Relation to Dihydrogen Monoxide "
Thank you!
That's downplay, you're forgetting some of his best hax, like the indomitable human spirit 🤑

Dark Magician being one of the higher monsters of Yugi comes from Milennium World, where a lot of the battles are played out not with cards, but with an energy/life force system of "Ba" & "Ka". I forget the exact logics, but many liken it to Yu-Gi-Oh! but with Stands. It's from the manga.
The setup of Milennium World is kind of confusing because it's both memories & time travel or something? Again, I don't remember.
Mind, there are like, 3 or so card game duels in the Milennium World arc.
But most of the battles aren't card games in it.

But yeah, stuff related to that is why Dark Magician is one of his stronger monsters, among other details.
You may find it worth looking into.
You're knowledgeable about Yu-Gi-Oh? Can you explain what's up with Infinite Kuriboh, and is that a wincon?

With no research, just going off-the top of my head....
I think there was a statement where when Yugi used Multiply on Kuriboh against Kaiba (At Pegasus's Castle.) that it created infinite Kuriboh.
To its credit, it may have been stated as such, IIRC, & it was demonstrated as such. Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon was attacking the wall of Kuribohs, & although BEUD was being steadily weakened for other reasons (Briefly put, being partially fused with something dead.), it was still destroying many Kuriboh a turn, only for more to appear from thin air moments later.
Kuriboh self-destruct on contact with the enemy.
Multiply + Kuriboh was also used to cover all 1,000 of Thousand-Eyes Restrict's eyes, the gaze of which inflicts paralysis, & thus leaving TER too covered to absorb another monster, probably; As said, Kuriboh self-destruct on contact with the enemy, so TER was destroyed shortly after.

In an anime-only/filler arc (First Virtual World, which worked largely without Dueling & was more like a VR fantasy RPG storyline, IIRC.), Kuriboh + Multiply was used with Catapult Turtle to ignite & destroy a Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth.

I don't recall other instances off the top of my head. You may wish to check Card Appearances page for Multiply on the Yugioh Wiki/Yugipedia.

Unsure about win condition. Kuriboh is often called the weakest monster, & while it can be potent as an explosive in great numbers....

Doomguy vs Chief is like Omniman vs Homelander. Only the Chief is a decent man, and his inevitable demise will be sad to watch.
Yeah... this one's just gonna be kinda sad to watch, for me. I get why people want the rematch, but the obvious stat-gap combined with the state the Halo series is in at this point just kinda makes this feel like bullying.

Then again, this is kind of a win-win scenario for me. If Doom Slayer wins, then yeah, everyone with a functioning brain saw that coming, no big deal. But... if they pull out some Sun-Disc-level nonsense and give Chief the win... I can't lie, I'd think it's ******* hilarious. Oh, and I also wouldn't have to watch another childhood-favorite character of mine get brutalized, so that'd be cool too.

Basically, it's like asking prime Tom Brady to punt an elderly Chihuahua. Yeah, he can do it, but you're not gonna feel good watching it happen.

I just want the fight & soundtrack to be awesome above all. Especially in this case, i don’t usually care if it’s a stomp or not personally. One thing that I definitely think sucked about the last 3D fight was that they made Asura look like a total loser, especially at the end. Hoping at the very least that doesn’t happen here if devilartemis is animating it

Nah, yeah, that's totally valid. I bet it'll be, if nothing else, a fun fight to watch. For me it's just a combination of (typically) getting more enjoyment out of episodes where I don't know who's going to win combined with being a life-long Halo fan that's just been... worn down over the years, to put it lightly.

I don't see it.
Copied from Reddit:
"Both are villains who hold a grudge against the hero for something wasn’t directly there fault (Surge with wanting revenge on Sonic for her torture and Powerplex wanting revenge on Invincible for the death of his sister and niece in the Chicago battle with Omniman)

-Both go from active villain to heroes later in the series

-Both uses devices that absorb power to become more powerful (Powerplex’s Disks and Surge’s Dynamo Cage)

-Both are electric villains"

It's pretty much the best PowerPlex has afaik.

Wait.... Powerplex is a superhero that uses electricity powers with disks to power up...?

Maybe a bit of a mismatch by tiering, but by their powers, it aligns, no...?

Apologies if off-topic (Verses featured may be relevant to this thread, though.), but as I'm posting this, there is approximately 105 minutes (1 hour & 45 minutes) until the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct begins:

Death Battle Thread is conveniently cheating in whats on topic. Since one can want practically any character in, you could argue that almost anything is on topic. Hell, maybe Switch 2 Direct will give us hints on buffs or make some characters more relevant.

THE SILKSONG IS REAL
Several games get glorified DLC that you need a new console for, some of which are just to show off the system's new hardware features or performance, like Jamboree, BotW, Tears of the Kingdom, etc.
Kirby: Forgotten Land seems like it has actual good glorified DLC, though.
TWO NEW GAMES ARE KART RIDERS. MARIO KART WORLD & KIRBY AIR RIDERS.
F-Zero Virtual Console included in GC games, so I guess F-Zero isn't fully dead to them.
NEW 3D DONKEY GAME, DONKEY KONG BANANZA! DK looks like DK Jr. in it, though, & lack of other kongs so far saddens me. It also feels like a Wario Land game. Remember the GC Wario Land game?
New Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
DELTARUNE'S BEEN GIVEN A RELEASE DATE!!!
Oh & also a walking & reading simulator tour of the Switch 2's hardware only available as a paid digital exclusive. Yay.

So any Chief believers here, can you guys give me your interpretations on how he scales to the 11D arguments?

I've seen some people point to how Chief killed Didact who was from the race that actually has the 11D scaling, but that argument really falls out the window when you compare it to the beginning of Infinite where Chief got 1v1d by a Brute who certainly does not have the kind of scaling. Not to mention The Didact didn't actually try and blast him with weaponized Slipspace or anything.

And I'm being earnest here, I'm curious about how the 11D believer feel like the scaling is possible. As a long time Halo fan who played up to 5 and read like 10 of the books I'm certainly not celebrating Chief's imminent demise or anything.
