DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

The show is might retroactively cause buffs since stuff like Space Racer visibly blowing up a star, Viltrumite blood having a ton of resistances, Nolan escaping a black hole while a carrying a spaceship, etc weren't in the comics iirc (animation always proving to be the best medium for feats
Eh, nobody scales to Space Racer gun like at all. That and Nolan escaping a Black Hole is barely even a durability feat given he only at it's edge. The most you'd get out of that feat is him being FTL from escaping its pull.

Without giving away major spoilers,
One of the first things he do is:
Made a person get along with the protagonist so he could turn the guy into a monster and have him attack the protagonist, shortly after influencing the same guy to try to kill/harm an entire school and cause a curse to kill the guy's mother, enjoying this whole course of actions, and laughing in his face as the transformed guy's little remaining lifespan ran out and died in front of the protagonist.
Overall, he enjoyed making the protagonist suffer.

Aside from that, he kills off a handful of good characters.
  • Someone who, for the first time, could do things for himself and just wanted to meet up with his friends to see them in person at least once (Preventing him from achieving it).
  • One of the protagonist's mentors (in front of him, obliterating his torso).
  • And he almost killed one of the protagonist's closest friends (in front of him), but it's revealed that she only survived towards the end.

And in general, being a horrible being who transfigured people bodies and souls just because he felt like it (meaning that he deformed their souls/bodies to turn them into monsters without much use of reason, who, if they had any, usually demand to be eliminated while fighting).
Don't forget that said person, was a viciously bullied teen, and Mahito's manipulation consisted on approaching him and offering what seemed to be a much needed shoulder and trust to talk his issues.

Depends. There are 1235 Digimon in the official Digimon encyclopedia (As of now), but there are also Digimon that aren't added to it. Depending on how someone might count, it could go to around 1600 Digimon, especially if one were to count Appmon.
Also the Pokedex count of 1008 doesn't count Alolan, Galarian, Hisuian, or Paldean Pokemon, nor Mega Evolution or Gigantamax or Terastalization, nor any of the unusual monsters of the verse.

I wouldn't believe my eyes to see a childhood psp playstation exclusive to appear and be ported to not only PC but ******* Nintendo.

what ya don't like Spidernaught

******* Christ... comic book writers do shit like this, and then they have the nerve to ask why Japanese manga has been outselling American comics for years?

Like gee, maybe it's because manga doesn't purposefully **** over legacy characters and allows them to develop instead of maintaining the status quo.

I think that's the price to pay when you're tied to a character whose story can't stop as long as said character exists.

The Reddit post title only asks for MU suggestion and Sean only talked about characters in image.

Hmm how many Capcom characters would beat Goku? Im kinda blanking atm.
Devil May Cry people probably just outhax him to oblivion, maybe Meagan X-Dive (heard that gets pretty broken), unironically Resident Evil with how deadly some of their pathogens are, with the Mold coming to mind; that shit is passive and turns people into sludge.

Saiyans are immune to diseases that make specieses go extinct in seconds, and no Saiyan would be stupid enough to get infected in the first place.
