to be fair, this is manga jibanyan, btw, I believe in the far future, where Nate gets the Timmy Turner treatment (basically forgets about his watch and yokai friends he has met) they get a MASSIVE/HUGE boost (talking about the anime thing, not sure about the canonicity of yokai watch honestly.)

EDIT: recall that Dante Bosco as Zuko didn't need an alias. I'm kinda curious how he got away with that short of there being some sort of unwritten statute of limitations given we're gotten two other Zuko's since.

Actually, that's a point - how often have VAs in Death Battle played a character from the same universe as the character they actually play?
What I mean by this is someone like Xander Mobus playing Might Guy, when in Naruto (or I guess Buruto, in this instance) verse, he's supposed to dub Momoshiki (I'm going off of what Saab heard, in any case). Are aliases that necessary in even those instances?

Yeah, this decade is having 2000s nostalgia like how the 2000s had 80s nostalgia, and the 2010s had 90s nostalgia. Though nostalgia from 30 years ago is arguably in effect too so IDK.
