DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Ian is indeed not talking about Sonic on the Death Battle cast.... rather Rockman...

Nothing ever happens truly.

So with Ghost Rider vs Spawn being overwhelmingly positive, do you guys think Death Battle will consider more non-Marvel/DC characters for the future? I'd love to see some of the other big names at some point, I still can't believe we haven't had Hellboy yet.

I definitely think so, Hellboy vs Nero here we come, though i also like Anung Un Rama vs Devil Hulk

If Death Battle were to believe in KLK at universal along DMC, would you want this as Vergil comeback episode?
Maybe none of Satsuki options outside Henry do anything for me
Vergil has sesshomaru on t a Sephiroth rematch

What are y'alls opinion about an "infinite multiverse" in a non-powerscaling sense?
Hard to judge since it all depends on how it's executed, although at the moment multiverses of any kinda by default just kinda feel meh to be since they started becoming a big thing once the MCU started doing it so everyone and their mother hopped on board by doing it the same way they did

I'm gonna break it to you and say the MCU is one of the best out of just about anyone who does it

Dead by Daylight and Invincible did it before MCU even started it

Yeah series that did it before everyone else started hopping on it I have no issue with (Plus it helps DBD and Invincible use there's for cool stuff, like justifting why Dracula and Pyramid Head go around hunting people or the whole Invincible War for the latter). It's just when a lot of major series started doing it or going more into it just because the MCU did that makes me groan.

Or even worse, because Rick and Morty did it

I'm surprised they chose Kaneki to be the killer from Tokyo Ghoul in DBD, because I could've sworn that Kaneki was some sort of violent anti hero or something.

But then again, I only know the very bare basics of Tokyo Ghoul's story so I could be mistaken.
If i read right, it seems they do a new take on the character to fit their world, which isnt new cuz they always try to fit and explain collab characters how and why they are in DBD, the main character in ringu was aged up just so he van be hooked and shit, cuz otherwise they would be against young kids getting murdered and all in game

Would it mean it has infinite posibilities? As in that many versions of a character and worlds existing across the multiverse? That as a concept can be cool as long as its not done the way MCU does
Well would you look at the time, it's discussion about Space Dandy.

Yeah it's whole shtick is that it's based on old episodic cartoon series. To compliment this, Watanabe took from Everett's many worlds theory, having a setting of an infinite multiverse. This is why in one episode, Dandy and the gang can die, but in another, they show up all fine. Because most of the time, these episodes take place in their own universes to bat away (most) continuity. Its fun that way. The ending even talks about Everett and his theory a little.
