Could Bowser's heart be considered twisted or corrupted? Because he is someone who tries to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom, kidnap Princess Peach, and defeat the Mario Bros. But the spin offs and a notable amount of mainline games show that Bowser isn't quote unquote "evil" and he's not exactly known to be twisted or corrupted.
Going by the Japanese dialogue, Shadow states that Sonic is already much stronger than Metal Overlord during their fight stating that Metal Overload "doesn't come even close to Sonic's level" (The Japanese material seems to be much more into Sonic getting stronger over time, even some story summaries have lines about Sonic training off-screen and getting stronger before on-screen adventures).

There's a Japanese manga known as Mario-Kun which, to my knowledge, gets pretty crazy with gag abilities and feats in general. I don't know much about Mario-Kun since it hasn't been properly translated into English, but I've heard that it's pretty powerful.

My true feelings? Well, to be honest with you: I am disappointed that Eggman didn't get the W. Now I think this is somewhat circumvented by the fact that Death Battle acknowledged scenarios where Eggman can beat Bowser, and also because of the fact that they're considered equal to each other at their absolute cosmic peaks.
They're all busy laughing at Infinite being fodder and Metal Sonic carrying.
They did show an alternate ending for that, where Bowser just turns Eggman into a Goomba
Yeah, Uni-Multi at all is the W. I don't have too much disappointment really, even if it could've been better. The track, editing, and animation all payed off, and I'd argue both got equal respect even if some might not agree. Like Bowser didn't get to show off certain stuff, much as Eggman couldn't either.
