Wait you can actually go to the Deku Tree? I thought the Korok Forest was blocked off cause they didn't want to make anything there

Yeah, one of the memories is there, a whole ass quest to save the forest from Ganondorfs gloom, the location of the Master Sword for anyone who wasn't able to find out it's location, completing the quest even makes the Light Dragon fly lower so she can be reached easier.

Did you take like 2 steps into the lost woods, get warped back to the start and just assume the devs just permanently locked the area off?

No, I got through the Lost Woods in BotW. I tried the same in TotK and it didn’t work, nor did anything else I tried.

It kinda sucks that all the Zelda games I'm interested in have no VSBW profiles, and I can't get anything posted either.
 
Say what you will about BoTW, the plan to beat Calamity Ganon made sense. In many stories, I find myself asking why they didn't just all jump the main villain, but CG really clutched that 110v1.
 
What about why didn't Link have any of his equipment or abilities and Zelda was defenseless again in TotK? Literally one Light Arrow would've oneshot the mummified Ganondorf.
 
Honestly removing the Yiga Clan would have saved TotK. Literally every time I've discovered a location only to find out the Yiga Clan was occupying the area I've released a deep sigh. It's just so annoying to try and fight them, and it's so out of character for a Link to let evil like the Yiga fester for YEARS and refuse to give any consequences to even the darkest sinners of the cult. I can name 5 Links that would have genocided them.

The arrows couldn't even one shot Calamity Ganon when Link and Zelda were teaming up on him, sure would've still done some damage since holy light and all that but one shot him? Nah.

You wouldn't even be able to name 1, no Link would go out of yheir way to genocide an entire cult that poses about as much threat as team rocket. Sure they'd kill a Yiga Clan member if they were attempting to kurder a innocent person but they wouldn't go on a dedicated hunt to wipe every single one of them out. Like I've said before, no version of Link is the Punisher.

He did not go there simply to murder everyone there in the name of justice he only went to rescue his sister, he only killed monsters that got in his way. This is an awful example to say WW would go on a massive hunt to destroy the entire Yiga Clan because they're evil.

TP Link never actively goes out of his to annilate anything or anyone, hell he even stopped attacking Zant of all people after beating the shit out of him. He only killed monsters or whatecer that stood in his way or were actively attacking people nearby who couldn't fend them off, like any other Link the only person he wanted to go out of his way to kill was a overwhelming threat like Crenando.

Link to the Past Link same deal, if they weren't immediately in his way or something that needed to die in his quest to save the Light world then he wasn't going out ofnhis way to slaughter anyone.

Haven't played HW since it came out, but does HW Link go on a continental man hunt for anyone that isn't actively posing a threat to the world at large.

Also LAMO at using CDI Link as an example of why it's in character for the canon Links to go a Punisher like quest to destroy Hyrules equivalent of Jessie, James, and Meowth
 
Literally the Yiga clan's favorite hobby is killing Sheikah or stealing land from them. After Calamity Ganon's death, they are the biggest evil in Hyrule. At best it makes Link look like a massive idiot that enough haven't died for the cult to dissolve.

Wasn't the Yiga clan hiding in the depths between botw and totk? Of course Link didn't get rid of them, they were hiding.
 
Btw it still makes sense for the Yiga Clan to lay low and go into hiding after Calamity Ganon's destruction even if it wasn't in the depths.
