Crown of Dreams | Role play

(due to my own mistake, I am having it so Jack says that intentionally for plausible deniability in that he didn't really know what you meant. In reality he considers it the least inconvenient option, I am going to have him try claiming being dead is that bad when that doesn't work.)

"I may be biased due to not having powers, but I think us not extracting energy from relics is the safest option overall. There are other ways to get better equipped for this kind of thing," Taeka said.

Zebedee thought about this for a long time. On one hand, he didn't want Mistwraiths or a plague to terrorize the people, but on the other, the power of the relics would be incredibly useful at protecting people in the long run, and would enable them to do more to save people...

"The red box," Zeb suggested, "Go for the red box."

"I agree with Taeka, look at me I didn't have any improvements unlike half the people here who were enhanced by the relic that we get a few weeks ago. Plus something with the name Terror-Virus doesn't sound like something we can take lightly" said Rex

Jack pauses to listen to the others before Aonbharr snorts, his nostrils flared and teeth bared.

"Really, Aonbharr you're against me doing this. I get the others but you. It is one of the only 2 real options, it's not like you are a town, besides the relics are probably going to be our best chance of restoring your power and getting out of this war with none of you dying." Jack says, "I died trying to help you, I-"

Aonbharr shakes his head.

"Alright I admit I got a little distracted but we both tried leaving it behind afterwards. You didn't even want me to refer to you by name, however it's clear that we can't leave it behind. I don't want to give up this chance," Jack says before looking at the rest of the group, "but I suppose it's not my choice that matters is it, several of you could stop me."

Jack sighs after saying that, "So, Griven do we lose if I consider what the others say."

"Oh, this is what I like the most about this challenge, it's a battle between one's morality and what might be most optimal in the long term, heh, don't worry, you can consider what the others say."

"It is just because I don't want the others to try killing me. I feel like it is worth noting we don't even know what the virus does." Jack says.
"What you say make sense. If want I could tell you what the virus does although only if you choose it first, so you have an idea of what you released if you go for that option"

"Hooman! Dont you even think about choosing a virus or miswraths over the least horrible option, i will claw your face if you do!"

With that warning to Jack, Xordenia also shows her claws to him too, meanwhile Deel was still recovering, he stood on his butt with one leg up and his arm resting on it too, so far he was okayish since his challenge

"However, two options make the world have to deal with another threat" Noah say, honestly she was agree to go for the box where they lose access to the relics' powers.

"Hmmm...."

For a whole while now, Yoshioka had been remaining silent in the background, thinking about the possible choices.

First, was discussing the Pros:

"Choosing the Green box, we could probably use the memories I gathered to make an antidote. For Yellow, I've already dealt with the Mistwraiths, so an increase by 1000%? That would mean either a 10 times increase in overall stats. But for the Red... as much as I would want to improve my power to get strong, majority would win...

But, even so, there's still discrepancies regarding it..."

Now, the cons:

"For the Green, the chances of making a possible antidote— given the likelihood and the scarcity of materials
— I'd say around 46.3%. For Yellow, a ten times increase in population would allow for increase dangers, but one that most of us could handle. The issue arises when you concern other people into it. But for the Red, there are ways that we could get power from different sources other than the pieces of the Crown..."

But then, it hit her.

"Though that would mean we won't be able to catch up to Pythia or Rassilon, that would also be an advantage!

The idea is that we don't want them to get the crown! Gathering the pieces for ourselves would only be to our advantage because they can't extract energy from them, lest they're completed!

Getting power from different sources... Science, physics...

Quantum Mechanics..."

Yoshioka's eyes widened in realization as she looked at Griven with a grin. "I've made up my mind..." looking at Konoe, who smirked.

"Took you long enough..." the witch replied, crossing her arms.

"Me and Konoe go for the Red Box..."

"Well, Jack, you already listened to your team, the majority agrees with the red one, you are the one who activates it or chosen change to the other options." Griven say to the undead

"Well, congratulations, now you will only have to ensure that no one of the other groups takes the sword and use against you."
Griven said clapping his hands as everyone was momentarily enveloped in white light for a second.

"Now the riddles, who goes first?" He say

"What is your question, Miss Eimu?"
"How did Pythia get the White Investiture? And is she the only one who had it? Or was there a specific method?" asking from curiosity, she wanted to know if there's a way to even reach a power like her. "Because, I've never met anyone else in my life who had such that Investiture."

"I see what you want to do, She was born with it, just like you are all children of the universe, made and molded to determine how everything develops, in a way she is nothing more than the collector's version of a toy. The soul/Investiture is born from the Astral realm, reality is divided into two layers, the body (Matter) and the soul (Metaphysics), in a certain way the universe is like a great living organism, you, the mortals are cells, red balloons, beings like Pythia are the antibodies of the universe, destined for a great purpose" Griven said

"That doesn't explain how she gained all Investiture when it's impossible to acquire two..." Yoshioka shook her head, "Just saying "she was born with it" doesn't necessitate any proof. But you did mention the control of the astral realm, so it involves the control of the Soul?" she asked.

"I think I explained myself wrong, she was born with it because that's how life want that it happen, in the same way that you were born as a GodSpeed, it wasn't about a change or control over the soul, because if your soul changed in some way that would have the impact that you would stop being yourself and become something else with the memories of a life that has already passed and in some cases with serious problems." Griven said while pointing to Jack as an example that changing the soul changes the entire being. "The reason why she got more power than all of you was because randomness wanted it that way."

"Did randomness also want her to be a complete mule's sack, too?" Taeka asked.

"Randomness isn't gonna be much of an explanation in the face of Science." Yoshioka shook her head, "I know I could sound disrespectful— and I apologize— but there's something you have to know. If nature has built something this powerful, then surely there's something to oppose it. A balance, per se. If there's an overwhelmingly powerful evil, so too can there be an overwhelmingly powerful good to stop it, no?"

"She grew up in her own way, she has free will just like you" Griven aswner while shrug

"Correct, that is why Rassilon exists" Griven said.

"I see, think about it this way, Pythia is some bad but many of her actions are good, Rassilon is not 100% good but his actions are also questionable, in a way one is an anti-villain and the other an anti-hero" Grandfather said understanding it

"Exactly, They do what they do because they believe they are doing the right thing, you have your reasons, they are not villains in their entirety or tyrants, in fact, many people would believe that you are the bad guys." Griven say.

Deel was starting to stand up eventually, his throat could be heard being messed up still, but other then that, he more or less recovered from his challenge

"Being targeted •cough• as villains •cough• is the last thing •cough• we need"

"Well, I have been called a terrorist a few times by the lackeys of the incompetent powers-that-be, so I guess that checks out..." Taeka said.

Rex just shrug, He's been accused of things like a thief and a murderer before, the difference is that his head still doesn't have a price.

"Yosh, I am pretty sure randomness can exist, it just seems structured." Jack says.
"It could be, or it may just be another phenomenon at play..." Konoe commented.

"I knew this would be the result. But to think it's plainly just because of randomness and not some systematic reason...." Yoshioka sighed and nodded, "But, anyways, I've asked more than I needed. I apologize..."

She bowed down and then looked at Griven, "I'm ready...."

"A man walks into a bar and asks the bartender for a glass of water. The bartender takes out a sword and points it at him. The man says "thank you" and leaves. What happened?" Griven say

Sasha narrowed her gaze when she heard that riddle, too complicated for her mind.
"The man had hiccups, and the bartender used the sword to intimidate him enough to cure his hiccups." Yoshioka replied simply.
