The commoners thread: Discussing Ultima's "On the Many, Many Incoherences of the Tiering System"

I'm so glad WoD doesn't require a flow chart to explain its cosmology because it's written to at least have a semblance of cohesion rather than mashing all the deranged rambling of 15 year olds on a Creepypasta website all together like High School toilet paper about to be thrown at a wall and or mirror.

It disqualified animations vs animator for the very same reason. Keep in mind, references to other verses does not disqualify the verse but if it directly uses those characters in the form of an unofficial crossover, we can wipe it off from the face of the wiki.

I said "it's not automatically a disqualifier." I'm sick and tired of explaining over and over again why SCP doesn't violate our fanfic rules.
 
I usually don’t like to chat about tiers in threads like this one, but I’m super curious what the elder scrolls is going to look like after this.

This was never explained before my guy.

Also, something along the lines of that is a very serious violation. Where even something as minor as using a very minor asset from steam filmmaker workshop is enough to ban the verse altogether.

Though, personally, I think SCP should be removed as well. Whether you want to admit it or not, I think the verse's extended canon and material has become littered with powerscaling. I mean, even those QnAs you provide seem very focused on it, which makes me believe it's a huge part of the community even more.

I've also read some of the extended canon stories and a lot of them are laughable with how on the nose they are in powerscaling the characters. INCLUDING those we currently use for scaling on profiles. Particularly SCP-682's stuff.


If you disagree, that's fine. I'm not going to take action against SCP or anything.

I'm trying to quash common misconceptions here that cause trouble, which I'd say is perfectly worthy of involving staff. The "SCP is fanfiction" argument has already been refuted a bunch of times, often in threads not even about SCP because people engage in whataboutism over it when their verses are in danger of being rejected due to potential fanfiction in them:

There is no direct evidence for this at all. The only place where they've even recognized that powerscaling is a thing is in the most recent FAQ they've given, and there, it was meant to directly dissuade people from asking them about such things.

On the other hand, if Realm X is stated to be a higher-dimensional space and is described in ways analogous to a Reality-Fiction Transcendence, while otherwise behaving exactly as a higher-dimensional space would be expected to (E.g. The difference between it and the lower realms is demonstrated as a physical one), then it would be tiered as a quantitative superiority.

And no it doesn't really since it's an analogy and not literally seeing the lower reality as if it was unreal but instead past present and future are all displayed in front of the person like it was a book and seeing lower dimension as if it was "a flat scroll".
