The new Melty characters were unexpected indeed.
Edmond has history with Roa, but Ushi is so random. Seems the embargo on spoilers for future VN sequels is still in effect.

Neco-Arc says this is the last summon, though I don't trust her or French Bread's ability to resist making a Fate fighter. Ushi's profile suggests she is directly summoned from the Throne of Heroes (with the censored version of her costume, lol) but it is ambiguous whether Edmond is the same from Chaldea.
Maybe they'll justify it with the Minamoto clan being connected to Oni hunting.

There will be a Melty Blood themed campaign on FGO with new Craft Essences:

maybe one of the developers created ushiwakamaru or just really likes her.

that’s one possible explanation

My long awaited servant for MB has finally come true yeah! Ushi tho that's indeed random lmao
Wish it should be Hinako due of being true ancestor tho

If we're going with the Extella route then absolutely lmao
How?...
I mean, obviously, the whole Mystery thing yada yada is a big problem, but, if you rule Goku can hit Servants, what exactly is Saber gonna do? The speed the verses operate under are orders of magnitude apart.

Is Santa karna really good for a free 4-star servant
The problem is his opponents - Caesar, Bedivere and Hokusai. ST Sabers, completely budget (3* only), are well enough represented with Caesar and Bedivere. But Karna brings a lot to the table (remove Guts NP, NP battery and 2 attacks, 3 turns Dodge) and definitely adds a lot to any account. He's not Shiki Assassin Tier, but he does what he should do. But he still is in a "niche" that already is fulfilled by other free servants.

Had he been a ST Caster, people would be praising him non-stop.

If you played JP version of the Christmas event I want to know if Santa karna is good for a freebie?

and vritra is she good?
Yes for Karna.

Vritra is also good, personally I really like her, but she can be outmatched by Fionn kinda easily because it's so much easier to get higher NP levels on him.
But, she at NP 2 is a beast. Highest Lancer ATK isn't something too look down upon.

What i mean is her ruler version (not the summer one)

Question why are low/middle 1-C servants immeasurable?
Scaling with BB, Kiara, and Amaterasu.
BB's higher dimensional perspective is stated to allow her to view the past/present/future simultaneously as if they were a book, and interact with them equally, thus allowing her to retroactively make the changes she wants.
Kiara is stated to be higher dimensional which grants her omnipotence to lower dimensions, and she is comparable to Buddha who are stated to exist beyond space and time.
Amaterasu is stated to not be limited by the time axis due to being a high-level Divine Spirit.

BB and Mythic Code Gilgamesh also both have a feat of travelling an infinite distance.

that’s OP but why is Dante’s soul hax 1-A? (How is it related to the root)?

He managed to burn Michael Roa's soul, which is able to resist being absorbed by the Root after death.

"Even after they've perished, it's possible for vampires to recover if their vassal Dead Apostles repair their body and infuse it with potent blood, but there are no vampires that can resurrect from total annihilation on their own.

That said, Roa is a vampire who has managed to overcome even that hurdle."

"Tohno-kun, are you familiar with the word Samsara?

It's a Buddhist concept, so I'd expect most people in Japan to have at least heard of it."

Samsara...

Arcueid mentioned this was one of his defining traits too.

"Yeah, I've heard of it... It's the idea that you'll be reincarnated as someone else after you die, right?"

"And that concept is precisely what makes Roa so special.

He succeeded in making Samsara into a type of magecraft. Even if he dies, he comes back to life. Even if he is killed, he cannot be slain."

Even if he's killed, he cannot be slain...

In other words, even if we grant ourselves some temporary relief by killing the vampire that's in front of us right now, he'll just be born again as another human in the next generation.

It doesn't sound like he's deathless in that his life never ends so much as that his existence never does.

I'm not sure exactly how versatile reincarnation is, but it sure seems like the only logical way to guarantee you eradicate Roa for good would be to eradicate all mankind.

"That being said, there are restrictions on his reincarnation.

The basic idea is that Roa uses the time while he's alive to preselect his next vessel. Once he's made his decision, he transplants all of the information that constitutes his self into the fetus belonging to his chosen bloodline."

"This information then lies dormant in the fetus until it either reaches adulthood or becomes intelligent in its own right.

Once the host develops sufficient intelligence to inherit his 'self', they become the vampire Roa."

"Wait a minute, Senpai.

When you say 'transplant', do you mean to say that he's doing surgery on the baby while they're still in their mother's womb...?"

"You're in the right ballpark. This transplantation does take place while the host is still a fetus, but it isn't a medical procedure so much as a process that approximates the natural cycle.

I said a moment ago that he transfers all of the information that makes up his self, but the key point here is to think of the soul like an electromagnetic wave, with the brain acting as both transmitter and receiver."

"The instant that Roa's body dies, he disperses his soul and transfers it to his next body. If he's already decided on a new host, then that's where it goes. If he hasn't yet, then it goes to a random fetus that satisfies his conditions.

Roa's genius lay in defining the unquantifiable metaphysical concept that we call the soul,

and transforming it into something that can be transmitted."

The other route has the final part of the discussion with slightly different wordings:
How does that work? Don't tell me he's performing surgery on the baby while it's still in the womb?"

"Nope. No medical procedures used here.
As soon as his current body perishes, he reincarnates into the new body that he's decided on beforehand.
Kinda like he's copyin' himself.
I called it 'information' earlier, but it's more like electromagnetic waves.

Except in this case, it's the human brain doin' the transmitting and receiving of those waves.
What's amazing about him is that he took something as unquantifiable as the soul,
something which evaporates without the body to contain it,
and turned it into somethin' transmittable."

In other words, he doesn't die when he is killed.
Without True Magic or Age of the Gods stuff, souls return to the Root after the death of the body. In Witch on the Holy Night, Aoko mentions that touching the Root is instant death that no one returns from because their souls will return to the Root and disappear.

In Witch on the Holy Night, Aoko mentions that no one returns to life because souls goes to the Root and disappears as soon as they touch it.

so he soul hax someone who is resistant to tier 1-A soul hax.

sounds like resistance negation or enhanced soul hax if you ask me.

Based on what you said about dantes does this mean he has resistance negation or is his soul hax just enhanced version of regular soul hax
Souls hax as far as we know.
Its feats are being called poisonous flames that bring death who they touch, destroying Roa's multi-layered bounded field that creates an intangible prison, Roa being unable to regenerate from it, and burning Roa's soul to killed him permanently despite Roa never hearing of flames that can burn souls despite his knowledge.

The Seth video has some inaccuracies, quantity-wise mostly in the Extella section.
But there is an especially ridiculous one where he calls regular Assassin Sasaki's Swallow Reversal "literal outerversal slashes" because they bypass space-time (to create three simultaneous slashes; this is not the Shimousa version), and he scales it beyond the concept of speed. He then scales regular Servant Artoria to beyond the concept of speed for counter attacking Swallow Reversal (he mentions that the VN explains that she was only able to do so because Sasaki's sword was bent, but states that the anime version doesn't mention it).

I seriously laughed in Kojiro's part of the video... Him using the anime over the VN after LITERALLY using a VN screenshot to explain the attack was just "what??"
But again, he starts the video saying how Fate is convoluted as **** and, as this is his first video of it, I suppose he hasn't actually read the VN and the other works of the series? So it's understandable. (Specially with the way Fate is scaled in some boards/forums)

Kind of disappointed with how it turned out. I kind of wanted him to show more scans on the DT stuff and misc (like Tiamat, a higher-dimensional being, having infinite volume or the Demon God Pillars being actual living concepts).

Mans is deadass arguing Outerversal Tsubame Gaeshi. I really hate these ‘transcend space & time = DT’ arguments with a burning passion. Spat out my drink and flung my laptop when I saw this.

And apparently Plato existing = Platonic concepts exist. Who could’ve guessed~??? (Which I can see wankers off-site using it to argue Outer Gods being Outerversal due to scaling above them via extrapolating that Sut-Typhon statement of being beyond all possible things).

Truly disappointed, but oh well. Can’t be helped I suppose.

The title of this video is funny when canonically Archetype Earth and Void Shiki are >>>> the verse. Not getting into Gilgamesh being the strongest Servant.

He said he is going to scale Shiki to boundless on his next video:

And this is his Fate scaling chain on his pinned Youtube comment:

For people commenting on Tamomo being nerfed vs Saber and not being as strong as she was vs BB, this is not the mainline scaling as even while nerfed in base she can still run back in time, and Saber scales above the 9 Tails amped Tamomo by fighting Sefar who the Extra servants other than Gilgamesh can't fight. Nero says with her Mythological mystic code (which makes her strong enought to fight BB) she cannot compare to Sefar, who Saber defeats. I showed this Sefar scaling in the video. I know the Nero statement is kind of niche so most people don't know about it, but here it is if you want to save it yourself for

Saber > Sefar > CCC Servants >~ BB (Other than Gil)
(Saber > Sefar > Amaterasu = Regalia > Arcueid > Buddha = Kiara > MMC > BB)

There's debate over Archetype Earth being stronger than Void Shiki. Which I'm sure most of us are already aware of.

But yeah regardless of that, Archetype Earth is at absolute minimum second strongest if you don't have her above Void

this is even funnier when you consider that he thinks that gilgamesh>iskandar>saber

Iskandar>Sefar is now an actual take in the powerscaling community

LMFAO

GIGACHAD ISKANDAR! WE TAKE THOOOOOOSE!!!

I kid I kid. It’s dumb as ****. But here we are.

Looks like we might be getting new lore (though it might end up being silly and trivial):

Love how you can find typos in the localization even in promotional messages (Neco-Arc -> Neko-Arc)

If you want the main reveal spoiled, here it is:

The shadowy figure is the true form of Neco-Arc, and all the Neco-Arc clones are subordinates to her.

Witch on the Holy Night's script is available on Tri-Hermes.
