Hm, if we are using zeldris with commandment, them magic won't work due to "god" right?
I mean, "god" makes him basically immune to magic.
Imunnity is the highest type of resistance for so far i know

If that ptrification is magic then it won't work but the meteor can do damage since it is physical

It isn't magical it's more of an overload of Geo energy when they get hit by the meteor then it causes target to be petrified

Geo energy is basically a more elementary form of earth and is intangible most of the time

It's elemental energy with the nature of earth basically Rock energy, it's never described as magic.

I mentioned immunity because zeldris hax. "god" nullified all magic attacks. Even from those stronger than him.
In the manga Zeldris said that even the strongest magic won't work on him after Mael oneshotted original demon (the Sinner) with cruel sun who is stronger than Zeldris himself

Not sure I understand your analogy, but it works like this, he summons the meteor it descends and enemies within it's AOE theyre petrified due to the overload of Geo energy

that's just game limitation. he can drop things the size of a mountain in guyun stone forest and he said the original one is far larger than what remains there

I’m voting Zhongli going off geo energy not being magical so the petrification can effect him and the meteors can be spammed and can be massive. Makes Zeldris either do ON but his darkness will be petrified so it’ll neg him trying that and his other abilities can also be petrified.

Zeldris resist petrification also ON is swirling darkness so it's going to be partially petrified and just spun around. Zeldris can fly away

The darkness will just be petrified and fall down and he'll have to keep doing it. Unsure of both their stamina but after Zeldris sees its not working he'll stop. Can we see zeldris resisting petrification? or evidence cause demon physiology doesn't have that and neither does he.

Still vague on how he will free him but the page just didn't add this in at all. Well regardless given he can it'd only be curse negation and that's magic not geo energy

Zeldris can break that shield with resistance negation and powernull him will setting him on fire with hellblaze and putting him under curse infliction. Zeldris has many win cons
