That Mel was just providing better Offense, Defense, and Magic Resistance to the Skeletons with his Negative Energy/Miasma though, which would scale to him.
Whereas the Mel with 5 Commandments surrounded by the barrier was something that Merlin was convinced that she couldn't Teleport into, brute force with Magic nor Perfect Cube, which was further reinforced by Ludoshel's assessment.

LS advantage, Meliodas can crush them with his darkness, soul steal(this is prime Meliodas who is ruthless). Passive fear aura. Combine attacks should work they also have the ap advantage and night amp so they are good to go.

Same for Meliodas and Zeldris also Meliodas starts off in base then he can use demon marks for a 4x amp is speed and strength also soul steal is in character for this Meliodas since he is ruthless.
