Be honest anyone who watched Demon Slayer and JJBA Phantom Blood knew Tanjiro Kamado vs Jonathan Joestar is one matchup inevitable for a Death Battle episode.

As a spoiler free comment: Please view this episode in a few more attempts and recommend it to more JJBA fans and DS fans and... just any anime fans. Death Battle crew members need more view clicks and profits to fuel it and convince more investors to feed them for doing more of such episodes.

To guess what is the mid season finale... What is originally planned to launch for mid June or July?

More importantly, do we just have 6 episodes for this upper half of season nine? Or at least eight? When, to be honest, USA has gone through bad times from that pandemic and global economic time stop.

Macro economics and politics aside, the coming Sonic 2 movie and the yet to come Mario movie should mean Knuckles vs Juggernaut and some other matchups related to Super Mario Bros should be coming. And one Arceus matchup is overdue. Good grief more overdue matchups.

Given Ms Kiryuin can potentially overpower Death Jr but Death the Kid can hax shot Satsuki Kiryuin (if we deem the Fire Force scaling irrelevant), the debatability could be put higher.

Thor has some gotcha options like Power Absorption, Matter Manipulation, and everything in Odin’s kit. He should also resist Hakai thanks to withstanding the Godbomb, and counters Forced Spirit Fission, which doesn’t work on Magic and requires Vegeta to land a hit to activate, rendering the whole technique moot if Thor is given a big speed advantage (which he should be).

I had a dream on Justin Burner vs Rebecca Black reexamination.

Instead of shittalking and joking which is "totally not cyberbullying", the episode actually appreciated how the two recover from being memes and music industry atrocities into adorable, admirable public figures. Also the crew members use actual science and powerscaling to determine who would actually win in a 1 on 1 fight to the death.



Wondering if anyone here decide to commission Skye / TehGM and/or Therewolf Media aside from Brandon Yates in music? Therewolf Media is charging almost as much as Yates but Skye does charge much lower. Maybe suitable for people with a tighter budget or a bigger list.

Well if you want misery crackpot theories.

They absolutely have heard capeshit complains. They mentioned it in early 2021. People still mention it. But objectively they are the eps that are most likely to bring in the views. So they will overuse them.

Unless they front-loaded this season's half with predictables, they probably just damage control by promising weirder matchups. Once they reveal Tetsuo, theyll likely hype that one as the weird match, "woaaaah its Akira, isnt that weird" while also putting him up against ******* Magneto.

I guess they seriously put those weird MUs in 2nd half, but am I supposed to believe that? I was half joking when I said next time would be comics and wellp here we go again. Its not like teasers give any hope for weird MUs either, unless Jinx & Predator counts as those. At this point Gru vs Megamind might count as weird one as well.

DB should stop being coy and be honest, it took bit too long to realize that S8 Legacy Season meant their personal favs rather than mostly DB community's.
 
While I’m hyped for the next episode, I think it would’ve been better to do a couple more episodes without DC/Marvel. But it makes sense for them to ride the MCU hype train for views and shit.

Now I actually want Tetsuo to fight Mew2 but that’s obviously a pipe dream
 
I hate that my pessimism for comics overuse still turns out to be right.

Maybe they reshuffled entire 1st half, as Harley vs Jinx wasnt meant to be premier.
 
So what are the chances they'll give Thor all of Odins abilities? I mean it's not like Thor will need them, his own powers as well as the abilities he has shown to use after getting the Odin Force will still be way beyond Vegeta, but just imagine if they give him all the 60+ abilities that Odin has lmao

Remember Lemillion vs Rengoku has now been a thing so there will be at least 2 (possibly 3) combatants from Demon Slayer verse in Death Battle.
And Rengoku "may" win from this.

But who can Muzan fight against now - proven Kars can just one-shot Muzan and Meruem is for Kars.

Demon Slayer is currently more popular than Hunter x Hunter. Wait few more seasons and Kars vs Muzan will be more requested mu than Kars vs Meruem

Also Immortal Hulk only fought one weaker avatar of TOBA and not the real deal.

Then they accept half 1-A Zatanna for defeating Pralaya with Swamp Thing. (This also means half 1-A Swamp Thing so good luck to Man Thing and anyone against Swamp Thing in Death Battle.

Which means someone messed up for Venom vs Crona. Again. First Mach 2+ Carnage, then non-herald Venom. The symbiote host Marvel characters who actually win are (AFAIK) Spider-Gwen and Endo-Sym Suit Iron Man.

Death Battle hates symbiote hosts.

I'm starting to think DB thinks the complaints are strictly for Marvel vs DC MUs and they think the community has no issue with the amount of DC vs Non-Marvel/Marvel vs non-DC

Will Demon Slayer have spin offs and sequels to continue the hype? While Hunter X Hunter is still ongoing (at snail speed) so... Maybe Muzan is better off finding another opponent.

I wish they say such to game launches like having Shulk vs Lightning and Scott Pilgrim vs Travis Touchdown and Arceus vs King Drasil/Amaterasu

... Well Ms Marvel is going to show up in June. (Who should murder Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)?)
And we also have She-Hulk coming.
As Moon Knight is already out Moon Knight (Marvel Comics) vs Azrael (Jean-Paul Valley) or Batman (Post-Crisis) is clocking overdue too.
Oh The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is coming so any Star-Lord matchup and/or Rocket Raccoon matchup can be possible. And Groot and Gamora and Drax and Mantis and... Yes Ego vs Mogo - another overdue MU.
If they play the cards right capeshit can actually draw views without making matchups boring while drawing a lot of views and clicks and sponsors.
The problem is not even the capeshit itself - it is the timing.
