No, it didn't happen, and voting Best Guy candidate for better precog, dura, sword, MR, and overall versatility. Salter has better regen and can spam her Excaliblast more but that shit will get overpowered by Protocalibur pretty quickly.
 
Something something "Charisma has nowhere to be displayed because his army cannot keep up against giant beasts". Specialization aside, it's notable that it is noted that his army cannot keep up with him, when he has the likes of Lancelot and Gawain in it. Either those two are shit in Proto, or Arthur is just that good.

That said, stat advantage and their personality and circumstances makes it so an attempt at using Morgan on Arthur leads to it getting Proto'd back at her.

Some things to note on Arthur though:

The ova shows him and Gil fighting in what looks like the bottom of the subway stairs, and the next scene is them jumping several meters in the air with a large dust cloud below. It seems they freaking jumped through the road all the way from the subway. Shows that he's rather on the move than the more formal fighting style Arturia and her Alter employs.

Also, his jumping slash at Gil flung them both through the building, cutting the entire tower in half. Good stuff, now that I rewatched it.
