Shunsui blitzes. If speed is equalized Zeref takes this via Time Stop + Death Predation. If you consider Death magic not working on shinigamis then he summons Mard Geer and Memento Mories Shunsui.

Its his creation and part of skillset. Also preumably if Zeref can create something with that ability it's highly suggested that he can do that more or less effectively.

Why wouldn't Death Manipulation work on Shinigami?

I always thought as they are already dead (souls ; and some of them are trained dead souls from "our" world )they are somewhat immune.

We had a little discussion about it in another thread and we came to a conclusion that if Barragan's ability could work on them, Death Manipulation should.

consider that zeref is "immortal" and that his magic is an instant kill we can't know i mean if you consider if his magic kills then he wouldn't even have to fight acnologia to win but his magic probbably doesn't effect acnologia cause of difference in magical energy oh and think also the number of spells zeref can use he can stop time so who cares about the speed.

Shunsui has some cool hax in Bankai,, but he wouldn't be able to use those once Zeref stops time. I'm voting for Zeref because he can stop time and use Law or his Death Manipulation to take Shunsui out.
