I think that he was simply mostly immune to Ichibe's power.

That was before Yhwach activated the Almighty ability, which allows him to be inmune. Which also remindes me that Yhwach is not inmune to physical attacks.

I agree with the first part but plot holes don't occur in battles. Not even in Bleach.

For one thing Ichibei's got no feats suggesting his physical attacks are that strong (he shouldn't be powerscaled to Kenpachi in the first place giving the difference in abilities) and he has the ability to auto heal himself. It's not overly impressive because of that in my opinion.

No, I care about the plot holes. All of them. I still laugh at the fact about how the gradual destruction of a continent leads to them having continent level destruction, but... Hey. Anyways continue. (Flies away)
