What If... Raiden faces Jetstream Sam and Monsoon in Denver.

Well, the question would be, is this a stomp or not?
Yes. 🗿
Isnt one of the reasonings for his AD is him initially being overwhelmed by Armstrong and then growing to match his level of strength?
it used to be, but it was removed. which is still bullshit. If it didn't, then I would say Raiden can actually win this match. He does if it's post Armstrong Raiden with all his equipment.

The AD does not allow him greater strength. The moment Raiden would surpass Armstrong is because he started using the RM Mode, which is explicitly shown to be activated in one of the cutscenes. Raiden did not use RM against Armstrong before because he was confident that his HF sword and his skills would be enough, which was not the case when he literally broke the blade of the sword and Raiden was cornered for a while during the fight.

What if Raiden had all his equipment, even from the end of the game?

So yeah, this fight is basically Raiden having practically a guarantee loss against Sam (FT: Monsoon) due to the fact Sam is capable of having a high/extreme diff fight against a version of Raiden 2 bosses more experienced

Then he'd win.

Still a complete and utter scam that this was allowed to happen whatsoever.

Now that i think about it, arent MGS2 Grip levels accelerated development? The mechanic is pretty blatant

Raiden and Snake do pull ups and grow stronger frieza style in a minute

No vote for now. But I think it's going to be really hard for Raiden to fight back when Monsoon is firing projectiles at him, while Sam is constantly charging and trying to cut him up with that Dura-Neg Sword. Raiden doesn't have the luxury of a 1 on 1 fight here.

Oddly, Raiden doesn't seem resist the effects of HF Blades himself. So if Sam is able to slash him with it a lot, it is going to hurt significantly.
Kinda scales to the others who do. Would make no sense if he wouldn't.
Every single one of their armors resist them. It's like a bulletproof vest for the cyborgs, but for them it's actually as much as their dura anyway.

Sam and Raiden are already even in most physical stats (strength, speed), the only uneven gap being durability, and yes, Sam's Murasama gives him better AP as in Raiden's HF-resistant armor will collapse faster because Sam is a better striker and has better AP anyway. It could've gone either way in their duel, or so was implied, Sam wasn't really helpless against Raiden, unlike Monsoon, who could certainly keep up well. It's basically guy who scales to Raiden in everything and a weaker but speedier guy. Sam and Monsoon **** him up.

Ofc, everyone gets jumped by Armstrong at the end of the day. Had it not been for Raiden's plot armor Brazilian sword he would not have won (said sword can be literally no-sold by Armstrong parrying it with a vital organ).
What would have happened if Jetstream Sam hadn't retired and instead supported Monsoon in his confrontation with Raiden

Rules:
  • Speed is not Equal
  • Everyone is in character. Monsoon and Sam work together to defeat Raiden once and for all.
  • The fight takes place right at the entrance of the World Marshal headquarters, starting 10 meters apart with a clear line of sight.

Sam and Monsoon: 7 (@TheRadiantSoul @Unknownnah @Detective_Blizzard @McFriesGuy075 @Ednaxel2 @MintyBoi1 @Pyro9278 )

Raiden:

Everyone is crushed by the senator:

Yes, you right, I was wrong on that. Though the resistance still isn't on his profile for some reason
