Vindicator: Dawning - RP Thread

(Basically, we went to Haumea to steal a ship from Na-Ra's forces and study it. To make sure that if Na-Ra's forces decided to track the ship, since one of the dead soldiers hit the distress beacon, they flew further away from Haumea and deeper into the Milky Way Galaxy. Some rebel fighters thought the Vindicator was under attack by the Na-Ra ship they hijacked, but Z'Zog basically told them that this wasn't the case. The rebels fell back, and a weird anomaly occurred and bestowed the character with their powers.)
(Huh, I'll try to join back in a bit maybe)

"we need a plan for this, but honestly I have no idea about this kind of tech..." Palaria sighed "we have no idea whether or not we will be followed or not so right now, we need to be on our guard" Palaria closed her eyes "it is comfortably warm in here, i wonder why..." Palaria opened her eyes and sat down, her eyes fixed on the communicater

(Back, sorry.)

"What all occurred over there?" Z'Zog asked through the communicator, "And is everyone in the Vindicator alright?"

"Everyone is alright, i fell down, Eden got a monkey, i have some clairvoyance now so i may be able to look for any tracking devices on our end, while I do have doubts on the safety of the Vindicator not having defense systems against powers obtained by that blue wave it is our best shot to see if we are going to be followed or not, so any ideas on what a tracking device would look like?" Palaria said into the communicater, Her eyes showing a twinge of tension even if her voice did not

"What did it look like?" Z'Zog asked, showing genuine intrigue, as if he had encountered this phenomenon before.

"What did it look like?" Z'Zog asked, showing genuine intrigue, as if he had encountered this phenomenon before.
"I barely saw anything afterword, it looked like the northern lights back on earth except light blue, I was badly staggered to the point where I fell down so I didn't see how it effected everyone else until after I recovered a bit." The tension in Palaria's eyes was growing by the second, though it still didn't reflect in her voice, and Palaria shook herself though the tension didn't fade

"It had to be," Z'Zog said to himself before checking on those who were inside the ship, "Is everyone alright in here?"

"Yeah about feeling okay, I'm going to go lie down because it feels like I'm on fire, being electrocuted, and frozen all at the same time..." Palaria stood up and managed to get to the corner of the ship before slumping to the ground, breathing heavily with her eyes closed "I don't know why but I'm sure ill be fine..." Palaria's staff seemed to be hovering around her, almost patrolling around

"oh no, side effects"

Angelo felt a little dizzy for a moment, and sat on the other end, he felt like his arm started itching so he scratched it like crazy, besides being sleepy, his body temperature went crazy, eventually he fell asleep.

"Glad I'm not the only one" Palaria chuckled "No side effects? Totally!" Palaria tested the range of he clairvoyance, trying to reach out to the other ship, and finding that she could only make it about a fiftieth of the way to the other ship. ""Can't get that far, but I maybe able to do something else"" Palaria used her staff to pull herself to her feet and looked in the direction of the other ship, having near perfect vision of the innerworkings as if she was only five feet away from it, though her understanding was limited due to the alien nature of the ship "if only that weapons and armor specialist was here, Draedon i think his name was, he maybe able to understand this." Palaria stated with tension in her voice, as she slumped down back into the corner

(The Vindicator is the ship they arrived in. They also hijacked an alien ship, which is the one they're trying to study.)

"Oh well."

Seeing that everybody is falling to the ground, Eden decides to do so as swell just because, or, well, knees hurting.

On the floor, he looks towards Palaria.

"May i offer you a nice hand of bananas in this tryin' time ?"

The green-haired man says, as he extends a bundle of yellow bananas that he somehow pulls from inside his cloak. [ @DaReaperMan ]

"Just don't go bananas" Palaria slumped herself up into a sitting position and pulled out a book to read, taking the banana and peeling it and turning her head to look at Eden "I'm pretty certain that the wave's abilities bestowed open us won't go away, thankfully it seems I can turn off my enhanced senses, at least everything except for my 6th sense. That and my clairvoyance are whats overwhelming me right now. By the way, do you know about Draedon? I pretty much know who he is but I wonder if you know..." Palaria stared directly into Eden's eyes, with the banana gone at this point, waiting for an answer

"Figured you wouldn't, Draedon is a cyborg from another world, dimension, or both. I can safely say that he isn't from Haumea since his physique isn't exactly human-like, long lanky arms and he pretty much has the legs of a wild animal, though completely cybernetic, and he is also the only person i would call a genius and mean it, from what he told me he accidently crash landed on Earth about 50 years ago, and he became the weapons and armor specialist of the government, while he's supposed to be a secret he pretty much pops up like he knows me and he spoke like he knows me as well, which is strange because I never saw anything like him before. The scientists that Draedon has taken under his wing have been able to make revolutionary inventions, while everything was on an upswing for technological advancements before Draedon arrived I'm pretty sure he ramped everything up until we got to where we are at this point. but a few things he has said intrigued me, such as when he said that the dimensional flux of this universe and another seemed so different but so similar, i hate to say it but I'm pretty sure that he knew the version of me from that other universe as an ally of sorts, though we didn't fully see eye to eye. I can see why, hes not a creep or anything like that but he seems to care more for his inventions and discoveries then those that could be hurt. Though he also directly stated that he wasn't looking for any replacements or new ally's and that his "lord" would be surprised that humanity was coming this far, but whoever this "lord" is doesn't seem to be aggressive to us. but what really got me thinking about him at this point is that he said "The future holds many surprises, be sure of yourself and your abilities, they will assist you in the path ahead." Palaria sighed "I'd say hes both from another world and dimension, maybe I have these abilities there? I have no clue, but I'm pretty sure he would understand the ship we hijacked. But that's just me guessing about this whole thing, Z'Zog seems to know about this wave at least. sorry for rambling on." Palaria's bright green eyes didn't pierce through Eden's eyes at all as she spoke

"Dimensional travel, huh?" Uchūjin said through the communicator, "That's not something that crosses our table very often. Maybe ask Cia about it. She's definitely more familiar with the quantum and scientific stuff than I am..."

A single target appeared on the radar and before anyone could respond the target was on top of the alien ship and metal-on-metal sounds were heard through the ship before the target swiftly moved over to on top of the Vindicator, before a portal opened and a mechanical 7 foot tall being walked through into the Vindicator as the portal closed behind the mechanical being, with Palaria seeming shocked at the being and a voice sounded over the communicator to the alien ship and normally across the Vindicator
"I believe the saying is "speak of the devil", it seems i missed quite a bit, seeing how theres a staff floating around, an alien ship is allied with us, and multiple abilities have been obtained."
Draedon morphed his limbs into those fitting of a human
"I do wonder when Dimensional travel has crossed your table, although I believe being brought up to date with what is happening takes priority over my inquiry."
Palaria managed to facepalm "another saying is being jinxed..."

(Don't question Draedon being able to catch up to two spaceships moving at ridiculous speeds, it was that or have him make a portal way beyond his range, it was never going to make sense unless Draedon came in his own ship, which would frankly be ridiculous as well)

[Could you put spaces in-between tak and not talk ? cuz it makes it much more readable.]

Eden stretches on the floor while sliding backwards a bit, grabbing lightly one of the big metal toes's big metal toes.

"Hi."

He says while looking up.

"Greetings..."
Draedon picked up Eden, Angelo, and Palaria with his telekinesis and a green energy surrounded and healed all three past any exhaustion and put down Angelo lying down and the others onto their feet five feet away from himself
"Regardless, pleasantries aside i believe we have plenty to discuss already without accounting for what happens next for our groups" Dreadon said with a bit of amusement in his voice

Palaria sighed "To give you a basic rundown, skipping the beginning because I know you didn't come here without knowledge on the mission, we allied with Rebels to fight a tyrant called Ne'Ra, the plan was that we get their attention by pretending to turn over Z'Zog, we take them down, find the weakness of their ships, and use that info to take down Na'Ra. though we haven't found any weaknesses on the alien ship we hijaked yet, the plan after that was to do a covert mission but that blue wave happened and a lot of weird things have been happening..."

"Knowing your enemy is only half the battle, and you would be foolish to believe that knowledge on just one ship would tell you the weaknesses of every ship. If Ne'Ra and they're soldiers have any sense then we are dealing with far more then just a single ship type. I will be heading over to our other ship, but there is something I should do here..."

Draedon simply walked over to the middle of the Vindicator, his metal feet nearly silent against the Vindicator's floor.

once Draedon reached the middle a pulse of gold and grey mingling consumed the Vindicator, connecting the entire ship and all technology on it directly to Draedon's systems, jolting Cia due to her connections, Draedon seemed to take care that any Artificial Intelligence would not have access to his mind, memories, or systems, and as such when Cia was connected through Draedon's pulse she only had the added ability of speaking directly with Draedon and none of her holograms or systems were truly disturbed.

Draedon opened a portal and walked through to the top of the Vindicator and using his ability to use positive and negative charges he thrust himself over to the alien ship at extreme speeds, and stopped himself just as quickly on top of the ship before he walked through a portal onto the inside of the alien ship, and as the portal closed behind him an array of holographic terminals showing every detail of the Vindicator's capabilities and systems through both picture and text appeared in front of Draedon about 20 inches away from himself.

"State of the Art for you but ancient tech for me, I suppose I did agree to ramp up humanity's technology instead of pour advancements they couldn't understand onto them."

The holographic terminals disappeared, and Draedon looked around the deck, spotting Z'Zog (if Soba is on-board then Draedon spots him as well.)

"Interesting designs, whoever Ne'Ra's technicians, engineers, and scientists are they are more advanced then the Vindicator, I can already tell. Lieutenant Howard (or Uchūjin, can't tell who is the head here right now, this is a meta thing fyi), while some would say I outrank you, keep your commanding duties over this mission, I lead armies, I don’t win wars." Draedon raised his voice to speak in a brisk tone

Draedon turned directly to Z'Zog and addressed him

"How much information do you have on Ne'Ra? I cannot say they seem very impressive so far."

(Uchūjin is in the Vindicator. Lt. Howard is in the other ship.)

"There's not much information I have on her," Z'Zog answered through the communicators, "Many of our forces are taken out before intel can be fully gathered, or before information can be relayed at all."

Meanwhile, Cia noticed someone was connecting to the ship. She quickly activated the hologram remotely to see what was taking place.

"The hologram shut off a while ago, so would anyone mind telling me who or what is tampering with the ship?" Cia asked, kind of annoyed that someone was tampering with something she put quite a bit of effort into making.

(Draedon hopped ships, he can basically do that whenever he wants due to self sustenance+magnetism manipulation, pretty useful for making oneself move faster then normal in space, basic science shit, make powerful enough positive and negative energy charges and you can go faster then the norm, which will remain the excuse until they are on solid ground)

"Then Ne'Ra is a real threat, they have power and strategy, and due to few escaping she has maintained her secrecy, but now you have escaped an encounter with the tyrant, Information is power, and that is why I am here." Draedon spoke in a manner that said he was taking Ne'Ra seriously now

Palaria looked at Cia

"Well, the alien cyborg genius should-be-a-secret Draedon somehow caught up to us and boarded the ship, then hopped ships, but considering he's probably listening in ill let him explain it because I have no idea!"

Draedon's voice indeed came over the communicater "Well if it isn't Cia, the holographic artifical intelligence, I hope you don't mind that I connected my systems to your ship, but considering you can't get rid of me you'll have to deal with it." Draedon spoke this time his tone full of unmistakable amusement

(A little reminder that Draedon has resistances to hacking and technology manipulation)

"There's nothing artificial about my intelligence," Cia answered, "It's just an interface I use to communicate and interact with the Vindicator while still taking care of things back at GAEA. But, the more the merrier, I guess. I'll at least be monitoring your activity. This is my ship, after all, so I should have a right to know what you're doing with it..."

"Im encrypting your connection further then it already is, unless Ne-Ra or they're soldiers are somehow peering over your shoulder we shouldn't have any possible problems of being spied on or you being tracked to Earth. I'm not taking risks on this." Draedon spoke swiftly, while a bit of amusement was still in his voice

Palaria shook her head and pulled out one of the bed compartments and pulled out a book from her robe and lay down on her back to read on top of the sheets, reading a bit before she asked Draedon

"You spoke about my abilities about a month ago, did you know that this wave thing that struck us would happen?"

"It was a bit of an educated guess, I did not know about the wave due to my research not expanding past earth and the moon, but I detected some magic in you, something seemingly nobody else had." Draedon responded in a calm manner

""That blue wave demands research, however it would be unsafe with Ne'Ra posing a present threat, if only we could get rid of them quickly. Though I do wonder who they really are.""

"Am I seriously and fully a Fantasy character in the modern world? And you can detect magic? I never even had any abilities before! I was just an unremarkable human physically!" Palaria ranted a bit, putting her book down and sitting up

"Your a fantasy character in a modern setting yes, and I've long been able to detect magic, you would be surprised about how many magic casters I've been around." Draedon simply responded, his voice showing clear signs of being unsurprised

Eden and his monkey pal unwrap two bananas and begins eating.

They have absolutely no clue of what people are even talking about or why.

"Can't we just move on and get somewhere ?"

He simpls asks while munching on the yellow fruit.
