you literally made yourself out like you only watched the anime and didn't even read the light novel to even humor whether or not Kirito actually had any skill to begin with and just waved it off as him going unga bunga, completely ignoring every argument curry brought up with simple "no's" or "cool's" when presented with some points and outright dismissals in others, meanwhile weekly would claim that not voting for yang was ******* bias, do not even try with me
I based all of my arguments from their profiles
And if I recall, no, I didn't do that. Anyone who has read the actual thread would agree with me
I know this isn't allowed but since the other thread is closed, I'm just going to re-re-re-re-re address this here. Here's Kirito's intelligence profile on his page:
Intelligence: Though he is academically average, Kirito has a high combat intelligence and can adapt to battles and situations on the fly. He has over 2 years of battle experience fighting for his life against both predictable NPCs and unpredictable players alike, developing a fighting style that revolves around tricking his opponents into doing what he wants through mind games and feints, or searching for any openings or weaknesses of the opponent on the fly and adapting his strategy to counteract that. His knack for finding patterns and adapting to situations has also led to him to develop multiple Outside System Skills to help in various situations, as well as notice things that most people wouldn't. Additionally, Kirito is very knowledgeable with computers and mathematics (e.g. he randomly computes the volume of the food he eats), and is extremely proficient in multitasking. He has an extremely good memory, as he remembers dozens upon dozens of Sword Skills and how to get into their pre-motions, nearly every single game mechanic, and piles of information on every single floor of Aincrad up to the 75th floor; using everything he has in his memory to his advantage in combat. WoG states that if there was no threat of death, Kirito would be able to get to the 75th floor from the beginning starting at level 1 with just his knowledge and experience alone.
breaking this down:
1. Adapting to battles and situations on the fly:
Yang has the same thing
2. 2 Years of battle experience fighting for his life:
Yang has over 10
3. Against both predictable NPCs and unpredictable players alike:
Everything in SAO uses sword skills which are inherently telegraphed and suffer from input lag. The unpredictability comes from when people use which sword skills, which is still just being a pro gamer and not a pro fighter.
4. Developing a fighting style that revolves around tricking his opponents into doing what he wants through mind games and feints, or searching for any openings or weaknesses of the opponent on the fly and adapting his strategy to counteract that:
Yang doesn't rely on sword skills so everything she does isn't literally exactly the same so this isn't particularly impressive or anything Yang hasn't seen before. Not to mention Kirito's arsenal isn't varied enough to take advantage of it, PLUS any strategy he can think of just gets negged by aura and blocked and due to his aforementioned barren movepool he can't do anything about it
5. His knack for finding patterns and adapting to situations has also led to him to develop multiple Outside System Skills to help in various situations, as well as notice things that most people wouldn't.
Detecting patterns is nice but he's not used to fighting people with zero restrictions in how they fight. Everyone he has fought uses Sword Skills in tandem with each other to create combos, and seeing those over and over for 2 years straight is of course going to help people's pattern recognition and micro. It's not anything particularly skillful in terms of martial arts. Plus Yang has this too as demonstrated against the Twins
6. Additionally, Kirito is very knowledgeable with computers and mathematics (e.g. he randomly computes the volume of the food he eats), and is extremely proficient in multitasking
Computers and mathematics doesn't help him
7. He has an extremely good memory, as he remembers dozens upon dozens of Sword Skills and how to get into their pre-motions, nearly every single game mechanic, and piles of information on every single floor of Aincrad up to the 75th floor; using everything he has in his memory to his advantage in combat. WoG states that if there was no threat of death, Kirito would be able to get to the 75th floor from the beginning starting at level 1 with just his knowledge and experience alone
Good memory doesn't help him
