The thread was
Kai from Ninjago vs Insight aka Lacrymira from Arcaea. The users in the thread seemed to be more knowledgeable about Ninjago than Arcaea, so there were many flaws in the arguments of the ones in the thread. I pointed out a few. Sorry it's really long
Kai's profile and
Insight's profile for reference.
...How do I collapse a post?
She needed to dry her eyes and then make them bleed, she can't really do that on an instant, and Kai would do
that
This was about time stopping. In the battle, they are supposed to be using Post-Ascension Insight, yet they are using Pre-Ascension Insight's limitation on time stopping (which was that when Pre-Ascension Insight tried to do it, her eyes dried out and started bleeding). Post-Ascension Insight doesn't need to dry her eyes and make them bleed to freeze time, she could do that effortlessly, as seen in Lasting Eden: Chapter 2 (aka Severed Eden).
"I begin to split time and space apart myself—behind me. At last I open a black and shining gate to "mine" and gently, Maya, while you're so still from shock and fear and confusion, I begin to pull you in. And there, there, you begin to unravel. As your fingertips meet with the boundary, your voice is lost and you start to unravel into glass threads. You unspool from your hand, past your arm, and to your chest and your body in a beautiful, silvery sight. Little wondrous splits without a single spot of blood continue all throughout your skin and where there might be inner parts... In waves of countless, brilliant, almost prismatic threads, you are drawn through the dark hole I have opened. Your shape now is like a melting harp waving through the air; its strings made of the prettiest white"
There is no mention of her eyes bleeding here, only in her Pre-Ascension form.
Text for Lasting Eden Chapter 2 as well as other stories can be found
here (Arcaea's story is text based with little to no animated cutscenes)
Also, yes, Kai could theoretically just blast Insight before she could stop time, but Insight could either avoid it with precognition, pause time fast enough to stop the attack, unravel Kai like he did with Maya, there's a ton of different possibilities.
Well she's good at throwing spears but that's it
She can do
a lot more than throwing spears. And she does have a lot of combat skills, even when she first ascended she managed to defeat a "god-like" being, so imagine what she could do at Post-Ascension.
And his fire manip outranges her
Post-Ascension Insight's range is around Stellar-Interdimensional. Pilots-Season 16 Kai's range is only Standard Melee Range-Hundreds of Meters. And even though Pilots-Season 16's Kai can control fire, Insight can control light, lightning, weather, colors, space-time, the laws of a universe, earth, air, and possibly reality itself.
Compared to being able to make stars and black holes, destroy worlds, and bend realities, it's not much.
Shouldn't really affect their wincoins
They're talking about Post-Insight's Omniscient level intelligence here. Pilots-Season 16 Kai's is only at Gifted. Significantly lower.
Insight can also destroy entire worlds. (Whether it refers to planets, dimensions (not the mathematical kind), or entire realities is unknown.)
Lucent Historia: "One final story remains for the Shapers, but it has already been told by another—in another place. The story of when the one you'd call 'Tairitsu' died, where Nell had died before her in vain. Because 'Powers' are 'power'. One can coax them, one can shift them, but on Lephon they always "are". An Angel descended. For the second and final time, the Shapers had a reckoning. But... The Eternal One was not there. She remains, and has remained for a very long time. Many years have passed. Centuries, maybe—although another might order events incorrectly, and tell you on top of that that 'it wasn’t long ago...'"
Silent Answer: "The will of the god above was worth more. Its wish had been for her and her kind to vanish, fall, and fade into dust, and that wish would be granted, in moments, by its hand. The girl saw her eyes in her own reflection, and watched as the image became distorted with her tears. She could see her grief through her shaking jaw, and her impotent, overwhelming pain. Nothing mattered at all. Nothing she had ever done, and nothing now. The black-haired girl kept her head bowed as the angel descended. When it reached her, it raised its hand. And shortly, she was gone." (referring to, and foreshadowing the quote above. Silent Answer, one of Main Story: Chapter 1's endings, comes before Lucent Historia, which is in Main Story: Chapter 2)
She also destroyed several worlds besides just Tairitsu's home world
Lasting Eden Chapter 2: "I've traveled across starlight to see you. I've traversed stormful skies for you. I have bent so many realities and torn others asunder to reach you, Maya!"
Insight also has Limitless stamina while Pilots-Season 16's Kai only has his stamina level at Superhuman. They also have the exact same Attack Power and Durability level, being at Star Level. I argue that Post-Ascension Insight should win against Pilots-Season 16 Kai, or it should be changed to an inconclusive.
And also, for what another user who is more knowledgeable on Arcaea had the same thought way before me that their unfamiliarity with Arcaea could've affected it.
Sorry if I sound rude. Also I didn't make an account just for this since I found that post yesterday and made my account a few days ago.
