UNDERTALE/DELTARUNE [shiny new] DISCUSSION THEAD

Humans cannot absorb souls only monsters can so yeah that is true we need that combo
Actually they can, just that the SOUL lasts too little for that to happen.

After all it's said from Alphys and Toriel that Frisk has to kill Asgore and take his SOUL to leave.

Only boss monster souls as far as I know do that

I think bro mean that Humans can't absorb humans

Otherwise it won't make a sense

When was it said that same species can absorb the same soul?

Nowhere, so...
ENTRY NUMBER 7
  • We'll need a vessel to wield the monster SOULs when the time comes.
  • After all, a monster cannot absorb the SOULs of other monsters.
  • Just as a human cannot absorb a human SOUL...
  • So then...
  • What about something that's neither human nor monster?

Because Flowey is neither human nor monster, dummy.

Edit: Misread, lolololol.

why I got insulted, when I actually gave you a reason why Flowey was created and other stuff.....

its kinda rude ya know

I wonder if you actually need a Monster + Human SOUL combo to leave the barrier and not just a bunch of Human SOULs
No, it was just said that only a strong soul can cross a barrier, the combo of human and monster just makes it a 1 single soul

Ya know, human souls already too powerful, but it's just not enough, and a little boost of a monster soul just gives you enough power to leave.

In case of Frisk, I believe they can cross the barrier on themselves, since they have the strongest SOUL in the Universe(overrides everyone when you're on surface) and its actually kinda our power

But, anyway, on Neutral Route Frisk and Flowey somehow passed the barrier.

By the way, I think that one of Chara's proof of their strength is really poor.
It uses the unused lines of code about Chara deleting the game

But by the way
I don't think that Deltarune's dark world should work the same as the Undertale.

I mean, Toby indeed said a lot of times that it's not really an alternative universe, BUT an Parallel Story, meaning it's the same world, but something changed in it's story.

But, the Dark World.
Toby said that these 2 games may have different rules, and they indeed have, since Dark World.
Dark World neglects the Monster's biology, and makes "if you wanna kill the monster, you will one shot it" impossible, because King does same damage to Susie and Kris, and not one shooting Susie.

Also, whole game mechanics changes in the Dark World, so yeah

But, I think that LIGHT WORLD DR rules are same as UT world.

That was obvious?

No.

With how dumb/disgusting the questions posted on Twitter were, I really don't expect much from this.

Hopefully we can get something useful for scaling, like the Spamton vs Jevil thing.

I'll probably be happy with anything relevant to anything at all.
Like, I was glad last update that we got a little bit of info on the P&A last newsletter.

If we get anything to do with a statistic, power &/or ability or behaviour, I'll probably be glad.

HOLY **** BOY'S.

He gets cut off by Sans after that and we don't get a final answer, but if this is taken seriously (which obviously it should be taken with a grain of salt), this literally confirms that Sans and Papyrus COULD NOT have been from the Underground originally. There is not a single area in the ENTIRE GAME that has green grass aside from Asgore's throne room, and I obviously severely doubt Papyrus meant that. Obviously, pair that with the already large theory that Sans came from another timeline and potentially brought Papyrus with him, the im

There are other spots with green grass and other green vegetation throughout Underground, tbh.

Sans and Papyrus probably lived in some nice spot with sunlight prior to moving into Snowdin.
