To be honest I see dante trying to close the gap using his rebellion more then him trying to fight from a distance.

If only Dante had infinite resurrection instead of shitty regen, this would've ended up like Kratos vs Accel. Dante has time stop, but Accel has his usual hand twist murder move, so I'll go inconclusive. It's a match of "who hits first".
