We scaled everyone to him, then we scaled very few characters to him, and then people just whined about his tier until his calc got removed.

Mm… pretty sure it didn’t. Basically the entire verse was possibly 7-A via scaling to him (through Elder Centipede), then EC got a new key that only a handful of characters scaled to (Awakened Breath Bang and Pre-Awakened Garou), and we didn’t scale anyone else to Gouketsu.
You might be thinking of when the verse got upgraded to 7-A from a different calc.

Orochi performed the feat by absorbing energy through his tail. It can’t be exclusive to the Gaia Cannon when the Gaia Cannon didn’t perform the actual feat.

Geryu has a likely because Murata tries to go off ONE's intentions (he's the writer of the manga), but admitted that a large amount of what he said on stream is his opinion.
