STRONGEST One-Punch Man Discussion Thread!

...why is that relevant to his armored form being above dragon? We know that a dragon can already tank a Saitama punch that had decent power behind it (Rover). His physical body has no damage, his armor just gets shattered.

Unless you want to give Saitama some kind of shockwave manipulation focusing all the damage on specifically the armor.

rover only survived because saitama didn't think rover was a monster and just saw him as a big dog creature and held back. saitama literally says that

Yes and no I guess. A lot of his punches seem to have ridiculous AOE. Examples are DSK, Rover and serious punch, but some are pretty small like orochi and carnage kabuto
 
I'm just saying, we say that Saitama is extremely good at judging something's power, even seemingly subconsciously. A lot of his casual hits don't have those effects.
 
that scene made no sense to me tbh. saitama says he was holding back a lot because he didnt want to kill a non monster, so this punch is supposedly a lot weaker than his normal punches against the typical monster, yet it was strong enough to knock out rover and create humongous shockwaves. bruh ONE get your shit together. the writing dont make no sense sometimes in this series.

same with awakened garou's first attack against saitama. he said he was holding back a lot because he thought saitama was a weak B-Class hero and garou doesnt want to kill humans, yet saitama was like "bruhhh u so stronggg" like wut?

This can all be explained by just saying Saitama can generally sense power levels, which is what I've always assumed to be the case. He hit Rover hard enough to hurt him but not kill him because he knew he could take the damage. If he wanted to, he would have just hit rover with however much more force was needed to kill him.

Saitama normally seems to hit monsters just hard enough to kill them (or almost kill them like ENW or Orochi) so it makes sense to me, otherwise he would have vaporized every single monster that's not above dragon. He seems to know about the differences in power while not generally caring about them
 
The only monsters he doesn't instantly kill are usually the ones with very good regen ( ENW, Boros) and with lots of skill ( Orochi, AG Garou)
 
garou attacked saitama with just enough strength to cripple, but not kill the average B-Class hero. this attack should have been so ridiculously weak that saitama shouldn't have acknowledged it at all because ****** tank top blackhole probably could have survived it. but right after that, saitama literally says "you're strong, i might even say really strong"

man i love ONE but sometimes his writing is shit.

It just could be that Garou even while holding back is that strong

Or that he is much stronger than other monsters that saitama is complimenting him for that. The latter is more likely

uh no. awakened garou can hold back A LOT if he wants to. remember when he punched child emperor and it only knocked him out for like 20 min? child emperor has the durability of a B-Class hero at best. awakened garou used just enough force to knock out, but not kill the heroes. he thought saitama was a weak as shit average hero so he used just enough strength to knock out the average B-Class hero. yet saitama for some reason thought a B-Class level attack was "super strong". makes no sense
 
awakened garou can tone down his strength to the point where even child emperor could survive attacks from him. just like how saitama can tone down his strength to the point where the average human can survive it

No? He could be holding back even more against child emperor. Saitama could simply sense how strong Garou is. We know Saitama could sense power levels of characters
 
Didn't AG just blow and entire huge chunk of rock off as shown there? Also CE isn't exactly that physically powerful
 
child emperor is pretty damn weak physically, and yet awakened garou could tone down his strength to the point where it just knocks him out for a couple min. this shows that awakened garou has near PERFECT control of his strength. garou knows how strong the average B-Class hero is. so he used JUST enough strength to knock out someone like tank top blackhole. yet saitama TOOK that attack, and says "based on that attack, ur HELLA STRONG DUDE".

ONE. GET UR SHIT TOGETHER
 
Because child emperor later on mentions it to not just be physical strength, that and the okame mask is very unreliable anyways
 
ONE is just showing that Saitama thinks Garou is strong, calm the hell down.
 
Saitama has also said Genos could become as strong as him, so like 🦍

Saitama saying someone is strong doesn’t mean they’re strong in comparison to him.
 
i mean i dont mind your opinions. its fine to have ur own headcanon. i personally just think its hella dumb and hope that ONE will fix it for the manga
 
Saitama can also control his strength to one-shot Fubuki's henchmen and send them flying to a nearby tree.

who's saying that? that's pretty ridiculous. just because the other blasts didnt have flashy aftereffects doesnt mean they were weaker. ssb goku's kamehamehas destroy a couple trees sometimes whereas master roshis kamehameha destroyed the moon. doesnt mean ssb goku is weaker than master roshi now does it
 
the mental strength argument is kinda off considering Fubuki got 18 which makes her lower than the average B class.....which she is placed as rank 1 out of the entire rank.
 
What's this stuff about Saitama and Garou? Haven't been too active. I'm guessing it's about Saitama commenting that Garou is one of the stronger opponents he's faced.

I think so too, Tatsumaki even says latter she had to keep the fight away from the ground to avoid more damage, not to mention it would be kinda dumb to expect a massive double panel shot of destruction on that scale every time she shoots without permanently screwing the planet.
