Okay, so it appears that Pearl is slightly faster than Primarina, and the best AP feats I could find for each places Primarina at a steady 2X advantage over Pearl. Pretty good for the Pokemon so far, but how about the rest of their stats?

Primarina has a variety of Water attacks at her disposal, and it always defaults to special attacks. And considering the fact that Primarina has a massive range advantage over Pearl, this could give the Gem some problems. However, due to her graceful style and her slight speed advantage over Primarina, she should eventually be able to close the gap between the two. Plus, Pearl has her own ranged attacks to use against Primarina during her approach, and her dopplegangers will both confuse and distract Primarina from her main target. And Pearl is much better in close-range combat then Primarina, so once she gets close, it's gonna spell trouble for Primarina.

However, then we get to the other moves that Primarina has at its disposal aside from the special attacks. Some of her status moves can really put it over the edge on Pearl, such as Aqua Ring, which slowly heals it throughout the battle, Charm, which can harshly lower Pearl's attack potency, and Sing, which could potentially put her to sleep, which is something Gems have shown being capable of despite not needing rest. Plus, sound based attacks, which Primarina specializes in, is extremely hard to dodge, so she would be forced to tank them. And then Primarina has access to her Z-Move, Oceanic Operetta, which is much stronger than anything else she has, even though it's a one-time use move, and would likely be her finishing move.

That's not to say Pearl is gonna stand there and take it. On the contrary, I'd imagine she'd take every chance to stay out of the way of the attacks, and utilize her doubles to their fullest. However, Primarina's ranged options are just too variale and useful against someone who depends on being up close in most of her battles. Again, she does have her spear's laser blasts, but not only is this very limited compared to Primarina's ranged options, but it also lacks the range that Primarina has. So, I'm placing my vote with Primarina for this fight, with mid-difficulty, as Pearl's graceful style and slight speed edge will allow her to put up quite the fight before she's just overwhelmed.

Winner: Primarina

Edit: Ignore what I said about Wonder Room. the move I was thinking of was Trick Room. Wonder Room just switches yours and your opponent's physical and specially defensive capabilities. Still, voting Primarina.

@Starter Pearl fodderizes 272 megaton Gems, the gap is way less than 2x

Pearl is also much faster, 33% c vs 20% c

All of Primarina's status moves are entirely dodgeable and Pearl can make this fight from a 1v1 to a 10 v 1 with a thought, with all 10 being equal to herself in power.

She cal also make an instant smokescreen to give her a battlefield advantage

She also has quite literally thousands of years more experience more than Primarina

That a vote for Pearl, ooorrr.?

Okay, here we go.

Pearl fodderizes 272 megaton Gems, the gap is way less than 2x

And the 531 megaton feat comes from a Pupitar, a mid-stage evolution, and Tyranitar is much higher. And Primarina scales to Tyranitar.

Pearl is also much faster, 33% c vs 20% c

That's not even a 2X speed advantage. Primarina's special attacks can more than make up for it.

All of Primarina's status moves are entirely dodgeable and Pearl can make this fight from a 1v1 to a 10 v 1 with a thought, with all 10 being equal to herself in power.

Fair points. However, Primarina is still approximately 2X stronger, and the clones are glass cannons. If it lands something like Hyper Voice, which has a wide spread, they get destroyed immediately. Plus, Charm and Baby-Doll Eyes work on sight, with Baby-Doll Eyes even being a priority move. While that doesn't mean it will always land first, that will mean that it can hit a lot faster than other attacks, and can surprise her. Icy Wind and Bubble Beam can also lower her attack speed as well, while also being part of her offensive strategy.

She cal also make an instant smokescreen to give her a battlefield advantage

Misty Terrain can act as a direct counter to the smokescreen, considering how the attack forms.

She also has quite literally thousands of years more experience more than Primarina

Again, fair point. However, Primarina, and Pokemon in general, are hard-wired for battle. However, I will give you that she should have an gigantic experience edge.

The clones are far from glass cannons, theyre able to trade blows with Pearl and destroy her with physical attacks. Plus they can fuse to double in strength which would put them at Primarina's level. Icy Wind and Bubblebeam need to physically hit in order to work.

Misty Terrain can act as a direct counter to the smokescreen, considering how the attack forms.

This would be a detriment to Primarina seeing as Pearl can directly control fog and clouds

The only times she has ever been killed by her clones is when she was extremely careless and allowed one to stab her. The definition of a glass cannon is the fact that they have the same power, but nowhere near the same durability, as Pearl, Steven and even Connie have managed to cut through them easily. As for the fusing, fine, they can be the same power, but they'll still get blown away by a good Hyper Voice. As for Icy Wind and Bubblebeam, it still massively outranges, so it can likely manage a good hit with one or the other, especially since Icy Wind is a guaranteed speed reduction.

Once Primarina notices that its Misty Terrain is being used against it, it can use either Icy Wind or Hyper Voice to blow it away, as that's a common strategy for Pokemon dealing with smokescreens/heavy fog or mist.

Bruh

The Steven that cut though them is 7-A and Connie cut through them because her sword negates durability. They scale to Pearl in durability as per Newton's Third Law. Primarina isnt oneshotting them any time soon.

Bubblebeam is telegraphed and can be both dodged and intercepted with Pearl's own energy attacks, and Icy Wind itself is less accurate and can still be dodged due to Pearl's higher speed and far greater agility.

And If Primarina does that Pearl can just bring it back or have Holo-Pearls attack Prima from a blind spot.

Sparkling Aria and Hyper Voice are excellent cover moves, however. If the different Holo-Pearls attack it, those attacks are strong enough to deal significant damage and cover it from all sides. Even if it doesn't one-shot, it'll still blow them away and give it a chance to use another move.

And even if they do land some attacks, Aqua Ring will slowly heal it throughout the battle. So it will be healing itself while Pearl is, at least, slowly getting worn down by Primarina's barrage of attacks.

And if all else fails, it can use Perish Song and lead both of them to an Inconclusive, as it effects everyone who hears it and will cause them to eventually fall unconscious.

Except Primarina cant use sound based attacks for an extended period of time without risking damaging her voice, and Pearl would quickly realize Primarina's abilities are mainly sound based and know to go for her throat to stop her from attacking.

Aqua Ring's healing is not even close to being able to keep up with bare minimum of over half a dozen opponents simultaneously attacking you from all sides, and even then its only temporary.

Except Perish Song wouldnt work much on Pearl as she'd just regenerate in a few seconds.

That's not in character for Pearl.

She prefers to make sure everything is A-okay before she un-poofs.

Not in combat she doesnt, the only time she took long is when she knew she wasnt in any danger, even in the most recent episode she reformed after a few minutes because they were in a combat situation and even then it only took that long because Yellow's poofing is especially potent

Gems are able to reform in bare minimum 80 seconds

Wasn't the reason she reformed that quickly that Steven literally pulled her out of her gem through fusion?

False. In the most recent episode, she regenerated because Steven fused with her, bringing her out of her gem. This is outright confirmed by Smoky. She would've regenerated on her own if that were the case. Heck, Steven said that Amethyst would be out by now. He didn't mention the rest of the group.

Holo Pearls do get one-shot. Steven one-shot them simply by extending his shield. Primarina is much stronger than Steven.

Steven oneshots them because he's 7-A/7-A+ (ie. Equal to or stronger than Pearl) depending on which season youre referring to, and cant oneshot fusion Holo-Pearls

I don't recall fusion Holo-Pearls ever being a thing. And Steven is weaker than Pearl in every season so that's not a valid reason.

EDIT: Mindful Education. Didn't remember that part. Too distracted by Here Comes A Thought lol

To be fair, all the gems tool longer to come out of their gems in the recent episode because they were poofed by Yellow Diamond. She said herself that they'd be out for a while after being hit by her power. Be that as it may, the question is, in a combat situation like this, would Pearl take as long to reform as she does when she's in a friendly environment.

According to Amethyst, Pearl has been poofed in the past and has always taken her time to come out. Much more than 80 seconds, I'm assuming if the time she took coming back from being poofed by Holo Pearl is any indication.

Pearl was regularly poofed during the war and reformed quickly, in a combat scenario she wouldnt have time to worry about being meticulous

Though this is implying Primarina would be able to poof her which is unlikely unless she uses Perish Song

It's incredibly likely. Massive power and versatility advantage really mess with Pearl. Pearl doesn't have the + so she can't be over 550 MT. Primarina fodderizes characters like that.

They really dont when Peral is faster, immensely more skilled and experienced, has the numbers advantage, has a means of evening out the AP gap via holo fusion, and Primarina cant use the majority of her bread and butter attacks for too long without threatening damage to her voice while also having her throat being an obvious weak point that a Gem as experienced and intelligent as Pearl would know to go for

Except she has before, not often but she has, and just because she doesnt use them often doesnt mean she wont use them at all

Pearl's speed advantage isn't even 1.5x as it's .24c vs .36c. Skill and experience are given, undoubtedly, but skill doesn't mean much in the face of pure power (see: Goku vs Frieza, for example). There's nothing claiming that Primarina'll damage her voice for using it for too long. Looking at the Pokedex entries and that's complete headcanon from you.

Even with Holo-Pearls, they're below the true Pearl, don't have Pearl's experience, and get one-shot by people weaker than Pearl. Unless they fuse, they have no chance here.

Well, I can't recal a single instance out of all the battles she's been through, so yeah, it's pretty unlikely that she'll do so.
Attack the Light says otherwise
