Can we have a thread to discuss individual feats and have people weigh on them?


I'll begin with this one: Sailor Mercury's Hyperspatial Sphere Generate.

Other names include:

Hyperspace Area Formation (Mixx manga), Hyperspatial Sphere Generate (Kodansha manga)

How can we classify this feat.

Is this space small or quite large?

Can it be considered 4-D?

There are lights in the back, could those be actually stars?

Can that swirly whirpool of light behind Mercury be a galaxy?

I am pretty sure that she did not create real galaxies, and that the lights are just flashy decorations for dramatic effect in the story.

In addition, we tend to gauge pocket dimension creation feats by their size, and this one does not seem quantifiable.

hmm, for the lights, they seem very similar to how Naoko draws her stars as seen here:

The swirl of light looks however different from how she draws Galaxies:

Nevertheless, it is most likely just for dramatic effect.

True, even if it's only used once and Mercury needed some assitance from the main computer so it would an Outlier regardless.

This feat took place in Infinity arc, Sailor Moon and the Outers are in an elevator going down and they get stuck in a darknes void and Sailor Moon defeats it by destroying it with Rainbow Moon Heartache!

I've seen people interpret this in many ways. I've seen suggestions that this is an illusion. A perception I can understand.

I personally saw this as the Death Busters creating a void in the elevator and Sailor Moon destroying it.

What do any others think or how do you see it?

Well, it may be some form of spatial manipulation, but I am uncertain.
