RWBY Vol 9 General Discussion Thread: Multiverse Of Therapy

Yeah it's just that since a vast majority of the Fandom is obsessed (to an almost unhealthy degree) with shipping, most people tend to just highlight the shipping moments over the actually important plot points.

it was the culmination of over TEN years of waiting for the shows most popular ship.

it's rare to see a slow burn gay couple in media, due to corporations canceling the show when only 3 sessons long and they need to rush the couple getting tougher and all other plot points, you don't normally see this stuff built up for 10 years in 9 seasons
 
So, volume 2 of DC x RWBY dropped

Summarized:

  • The DC Universe is a fairy tale in RWBY
  • Grimm have law manip, anything that comes in contact them that isnt native to the RWBY universe that comes in contact with even the slightest amount of Grimm gets warped into mirroring the metaphysical laws of Remnant, such as people developing semblances and technology no longer running on electricity, gasoline, or solar energy, but instead running on Dust
  • Grimm can sense negative emotions on a multiversal scale and sensed Gotham from across the multiverse due to its sheer negativity
  • Batman confirms that the precognition he developed is beyond what he has normally, meaning that Team RWBY really did just kick his ass in their fight
  • The Nuckelavee showed up and Team RWBY recognized it
    • And then Joker fused with it

Alright, I’m back. Gonna take a nap for a few hours before applying the rest. I’ve touched up the stuff added to Salem and the GoD. Please look over them to see if they’re good. Cause I don’t want to finish doing all the Grimm profiles only to find something was wrong and have to do it all over again.

Ah. I just realized something else we could have added for Salem. Currently we have Animal Manipulation for controlling the Grimm. However, as we saw in volume 8, she’s capable of controlling Grimm even if attached to living beings, thus controlling the person too. As seen with Cinder and her Shadow Hand, and even hybrids like The Hound. So this would give her Body Puppetry as well.

Speaking of The Hound, he needs Additional Limbs cause he grew a third arm to knock out Penny.

man what a episode, Neo appears to have straight up power mimicry, mind illusions now and she is now stronger then she ever was but god damn I knew jaune and ruby would fight and ruby would break down but I didn't expect it to be like this where she is yelling frustrated and in a sarcastically mocking tone and then her flying away at the end of the episode damn
