I recurrently have a bad memory, so I don't remember so well anymore.
 
Lord Xcano did some gossip harassment behind your back on 4Chan alongside Arigamy via publicly posting one of your private 2017 era DMs, taking it out of context, and blew it out of proportions. Which was the very reason you permanently banned him.

But even then, the overwhelming majority of the staff insisted on his ban for years. Mostly because of his borderline trolling on Reddit/4Chan and he's often seen as like the worst downplayer we ever had. Given he has a history of wanting to nuke the destructive capacity vs Attack Potency entirely, make basically every fictional character "Slower than raindrops in the background" as well as his "Absolute lowest portrayal of the character is always the most consistent interpretation" mentality. And not only that, he's also gotten much worse as of late. He's recently become a suicide encourager on a wide variety of places I have heard.

I reported the s-word comment that Joshless made on reddit once but that was years ago, like, before 2020. So not sure if it's even there anymore or if Reddit mods yeeted it.

I did no such thing. SBA states only standard equipment I was just clarifying this in the op. I only ingored the arguments for the optional equipment. If the participants chooses for the character to move on they are allowed to it's in the rules since the beginning. I haven't repeated the same arguments I elaborated on them. Yes because you were alshing out at me for following the rules.

Gonna comment that this thread isn't the place to be attacking people.
That said, linking to specific examples helps in a review process. Has this happened in other threads? SBA does also imply standard equipment only but I'm unsure if any of the OPs had that edited in.

In general, Speedster has a tendency for calling matches stomp, or trying to get them closed when his favourites are losing.

Now onto this thread - which I dont even know how it got here... Anyway;
  • Both sides are going in circles and whatnot.
  • It says SBA and Kuruma was using OE, which is basically against SBA rules. So, speedster wasn't actually adding any rules or anything, just clarifying it - nothing wrong with that.
  • And in general, adding rules mid march is fine, just as long as everyone is fine with. And OP should likely take time to inform them.
  • The problem starts with Speedster tried to advance the tournament with just two votes. Now I have no clue how tf tournaments works, but that is stupid to do so when discussion is still going - in circles, that is.
  • Kuruma (sorry if I am mispelling your name) started to get angry with Speedster and came here for that.

Earlier in the thread Kuruma said they are feeling unwell, so maybe that's why they are getting heated but ultimately, I don't think this was report worthy.

Since this is a tournament and matches are unlikely to be added to files, I don't think it needed to be elevated this far. But since it's here, speedster should know better than to try and rush the thread - I know they are going in circles and all, but they should have reached a proper conclusion. And both sides needs to read the other side's arguments properly.

And once more, SBA means standard equipment only, that's the standard and always has been. OE can be used - only if OP specifies it.

Not gonna lie, I've seen this kinda behavior from Speedster a lot, imo it's as if he makes these matches with a clear idea of who he wants to win. I think this whole thing with how he does these matches needs to be addressed, as it's evidently gotten tiresome for multiple people

It is perfect that he has apologised, but he has already done it more than once, he has been punished (Warned, banned, whatever), he has asked for apologises and he has done it again, it is practically a loop, it is necessary to mark an end point so that he does not do it again.

Agreed. I'm glad he apologized for this, but now it's a question of how to ensure this doesn't happen again
 
Right. Now ultimately, I don't think wanking one's favourite character in versus thread is that big of a deal, but if he starts inventing stuff then he might need to be given another temporary versus threads ban. Or forever, whatever works.
 
How long was his first versus thread ban for?

Speedster's honestly just been a bit of an annoyance in Versus Threads. He's partially responsible for getting a Versus Thread to 13 pages in the span of a day or so. In other matches, he consistently stonewalls, making the same arguments over again (like in this thread), frequently goes "[x ability/move] gg" at the start of a match (here, here, and here) without regarding the other profiles' abilities, and argues for out of character tactics for one of the characters.

Some of this isn't exclusive to Versus Threads either, he sometimes stonewalls and repeats arguments in CRTs as well, but I can't be bothered finding those since he just posts so fast and so much.

I'm not staff, so I'm not advocate for a matchmaking ban or anything of the sort since that's not my job, but I feel like something needs to be done because it's just getting frustrating at this point.
 
The wankin is only a miniscule part of the issue, the brunt of it is the massive, huge, repeated stonewalling and Argumentum ad nauseum that most everyone whos debated Speedster knows him for. Just one of those is annoying, both of them repeatedly has a tendency to drive people up the wall so fast they need a seat and a steering wheel.
